Great for what it does - gets you where you want to go. Pretty reasonable, nice commentary and frequent service.
We only got off the bus twice in Athens. The bus stops were clearly marked and the stop times were clearly marked as well. I also liked that the Hop on Hop off bus had a stop at the cruise terminal. Very convenient!
The hop on hop off tour was very convenient for seeing all the major sights in Greece, and was very reasonably priced. It was the easiest way to get from our cruise ship in Patreus to central Athens. The bus stop was a very short walk from the port where our ship was docked.
We did this on Nov 3, 2015 and it is a great inexpensive way to see Athens. It was easy to access from our cruise ship and took us to the major attractions we were interested in seeing. NOTE that there are 2 lines - green and red and that the route from a cruise ship is different than your return because you go thru Piraeus.
It was very good. After disembarking from my bot I found the bus stop very easily. The commentary was good and informative and I connected into the Athens bus without difficulty. This part was also very good. The organisation of the tour was impressive and better than other similar tours on which I have been on. The only possible problem was that the tours got quite busy and I was lucky to get a bus back to Piraeus. But overall it was a good experience and an excellent quick way of seeing Athens
This was a very cost effective and convenient way to see the main sights in Athens. We got off our cruise ship and there was a bus waiting for us, which took us straight to the Acropolis. We only had a short time in Athens so were able to see all of the main sights using the bus. There was also the option of a free tour of the Acropolis, so it was a great service.
The hop-on, hop-off was wonderful. We didn't have to wait long at the stops, and it gave us an overview of the city. We have recommended it to friends.
excellent way to See Athens. Very organized tour. At almost every stop there was an agent that directed people to the proper bus and helped answer all our questions. Also we took advantage of the free walking tour the bus tour offered and we enjoyed that very much,
The bus many colours where right at the port. Once we were on the right colour and explained the map and system, it was great. Again if you like crowds, this is a great place to be bumper to bumper with people. We were there in September 30 plus Celsius. I understand it is much hotter in July and August. This was a great way to get around and do the things you wish. Well organized and ran smoothly.
The Hop On Hop Off bus worked great for us. The pickup was right outside the port. It was so easy to use and stopped at all the sites we wanted to see.
The bus was a great way to see Athens and we did Barcelona also. Lots better than the expensive tours from the cruise ship.We also seen more of the cities this way
Great way to see a lot in a short time. Excellent. Don't know how the bus drivers get into some streets - great skill. Only down side, has to wait a long time for a bus from the Acropolis.

Had a lovely day in Athens. The HOHO bus took us straight to the Acropolis from where we started our sightseeing. The first bus was earlier than the schedule had shown, which was just as well as we had to line up for Acropolis tickets and the line was not too bad when we got there. Buses came frequently.
Used these Hop-on Hop-off buses in other cities and they are great. You can listen to a commentary on the tour but you can also hop-off at different stops and then hop-on another bus later on. Best way to see thens and good value.
As I said before, good reprint action, tour guide were waiting for us, easy to find them.
Really good idea. Easy to use and great commentary. Only problem we had was we didnt have enough time to see all we wanted during the day we were there!
We were on a cruise ship, and that was a great way to see the city in a short amount of time. We got to choose where we wanted to make the most of our day!
Bus was easy to find right off the port area. Audio guide was nice to have. Great way to get into and see the city. If you don't want to pay a lot for a guided tour, this is the way to go!
My parents and I took this tour from Piraeus cruise port into Athens. The bus was easy to find...walk out of the terminal and keep going left, through a bus parking lot. You'll see the Hop On/Hop Off buses to the left, through a gated area. Staff were friendly and buses ran fairly quick. It was easy to transfer at the Acropolis to the other lines. This bus seemed to offer the most stops.
