Excellent. Guide was fantastic. Cape Sounion was the highlight for me. Maybe time it a little different to catch the sunset while you are at the cape.
Very informative. Amazing views. You get to see a lot with a short drive. Totally a surprise. I recommend this for anyone who loves water, mountains and mesmerizing view.
Ths tour was great and well organised. The trip to Cape Sounion well worth it too. Picked me up and dropped me back at my hotel as well!
Our guide was excellent however if you prepay all though I called to let them know that a member of our team was sick and unable to make it there was no refund
Loved the tour...wish the tour guide had headsets because with a crowd of 25 it was hard to hear her on the acropolis and in the museum.
The morning tour was amazing including the walk around the Parthenon at the Acropolis and we had a terrific tour guide. Wear sturdy walking shoes as the well worn marble slabs on the path were slippery and we saw 3 people slip.Fantastic photo opportunities looking over Athens. Highlight was visiting the 4yr old Acropolis Museum with its glass floors built over ancient ruins.Early June was ideal time to visit before the busy tourist season. The afternoon long coastal bus trip to Cape Sounion provided interesting scenery of the ocean and countryside but was a bit of an anticlimax when we arrived at Temple of Poseiden.
Guide Katarina was great. Thanks to guides like her make it possible to see the essence of a place like Athens in just half a day, while providing you with enough inspiration to explore further. The half-day tour of Athens was great. In contrast however, the Cape Sounion trip was not worth the time going there in my view.
The Athens part was fine. We were picked up promptly, our guide was knowledgeable and we saw the principal sights.
The Cape Sounion trip was hardly worth it. A one and a half drive each way along a beautiful but repetitve coast line, for approximately forty five minutes at the temple of Poseidon, left us with the feeling we could have done more with our limited time in Athens.
1st part was nice and very enjoyable. The guide was patient and gave lots of information. The walk around the Acropolis is a must and the visit to the museumis worthwhile. One of the nicest museums I have ever visited in my life.
The Cape Sunion half day was rather dissapointing.Very long ride going and coming for a very shrot visit with nothing much to see.My two daughters liked it tough.
Tour good for views along coast
Guide informative but very average missable tour
This tour is a waste of money and time!
For the City Sightseeing Tour I had originally thought I'd be able to save time and learn more with a guide, however I realized later that even with a half day on foot you'd accomplish more yourself. This is mainly because most of the City sightseeing tour is actually driving around in a cramped mini-minibus while the guide points out buildings left and right without any other information. What a waste of time!
Dmitra, our tour guide was very much into the history, she rattled off successive dates of historic events without further explanation. An example of this is when Dmitra referred to the date of the Peloponnese War without explaining why the war started or other background information. This made it harder to imagine the history of Athens and retain all the information.
The Panathenaic Stadium was no good, it was actually a 10 minute stop where we couldn't go inside and just took some photos from outside the gates. We also didn't visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier per the itinerary. For the Acropolis tour she gave us free time and told us we could meet her at the Bus at 11:15 or at the Acropolis Museum at 11:30. One couple chose to walk to the Acropolis Museum, however we didn't even get to the Acropolis Museum on time since the drive-by-shooting tour took longer. Then once there she didn't even look around for them and herded us into the Museum.
Finally for the Cape Sounion Trip, the driver forgot to pick up me and my friend at the meeting place. Once we called them they tried to blame it on us and wanted to reschedule our tour. Luckily the other girl had been wearing a hot pink dress and the guy on the phone realized that he had walked straight past us without asking us if we were there for the tour. So a very grumpy tour guide and driver circled back to pick us up then tried to make us pay because we didn't have the Viatour voucher which we had handed in for the morning tour!!
Terrible customer service and tour!
