The views from the right side of the bus traveling to Cape Sounion were beautiful. The Aegean sea was a beautiful blue and very clear. With all of the islands along the way there were many good pictures from the bus and at the Temple of Poseidon. The Temple itself was interesting. The tour guide explained the sites history on the bus and at the site. Good tour for the cost. Driving along the ocean alone was well worth it.
Our guide did a great job on the way to Cape Sounion, and we had plenty of time to look around at the site. She even managed to point out where Lord Byron graffitied the temple. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this to others.
Wonderful! The bus ride to Cape Sounion along the picturesque coastline was amazing. The ruins fabulous. I was suggested by my hotel concierge to book your full day tour of three islands which was also a blast. Hydra,Polos, and Aegina were terrific. Looking forward to my next trip to Greece.
This afternoon tour was interesting right from the start as the bus moved along the beach areas nearest to the central part of the city and further along the coast with many small picturesque bays and coves often with people swimming. The Temple of Poseidon is still impressive, and the views from its site are mesmerizing. The tour guide provided plenty of interesting background information, and the bus driver did an excellent job.
EXCELLENT!!!! The temple and the area were simply stunning!! Short bus ride, GREAT tour guide, beautiful site, a picture stop on the side of the road to take pics of the gorgeous view. Simply wonderful, a must see!
The trip was short and sweet. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about greek mythology and culture. The bus ride was filled with stories about Greece and its history and questions were always welcome. There was plenty of time to take in the beautiful scenery and the picturesque monument in all of its glory.
The drive to and from the cape is beautiful and not too long, especially with the narration provided along the way by the knowledgeable tour guide. The ruins are well preserved and approachable. The views of the sea from the cape are amazing.
We enjoyed it very much. Cape Sounion and the Temple are as beautiful as we'd hoped and the whole trip went smoothly with Giorgios at the wheel. Katya was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, but not talking too much. We liked her readings from authors about their impressions of Sounion. Highly recommended.
Very nice and informative afternoon trip
We learned a lot about the country and its history
Loved the drive down the coast of Greece. Got some great shots of the "wine dark sea". Well worth the time and money.
Really nice half day trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. She handled questions well and the kids on the trip were very comfortable approaching her.
Beautiful tour and wonderful drive! Guide was lovely and very knowledgable
Guide was very pleasant, friendly and knowledgable about the sight. She gave a great commentary throughout the trip.
It was a quick trip, but it was definitely worth it. The views on the ride there were just as awesome as the destination.
Amazing spot with magnificent views, our guide Viki was so wonderful and knowledgeable.
Well worth a visit and in the evening with the sun setting was a wonderful way to end our first day in Athens. Di and George
Beautiful drive along the coast followed by gorgeous sunset at Cape Sounion.
Spectacular views on the ride from Athens along the coast road. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, about the history of the towns along the way as well as the history of the temple. This was wonderful.
A lovely afternoon tour to the impressive Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, Greece. The drive itself from Athens offers picturesque views of the coastline heading south to the Cape, whilst the location of the Temple itself is truly spectacular. The tour guide was very thorough in her commentaries. A very pleasant short trip.
Awesome tour. Great guide, very informative, friendly and amusing.
