Beautiful drive and ruins. Great lunch at Hotel Amalia. Knowledgable guide and comfortable bus for the long day. Highly recommended. Once in a lifetime day!
The tour guide was wonderful. Just the right amount of time for the site and the museum. Even the lunch was fun.
I booked this tour having read all the amazing feedback about the guide, Joy. She was amazing and definately did not disappoint. She went above and beyond expectation. I've done a lot of guided tours before and without a doubt this was the best tour I've ever taken. The entire time she gave us indepth explanations and tied it all back to her detailed storytelling of Greek Mythology. This 10hour tour flew and I was sorry to go once we got back to Athens. I can't recommend this tour enough!
Very interesting day trip with knowledgeable guide. Unfortunately we hit Athens mid-heat wave and it was very hot to be doing all that walking. Make sure you have plenty of water with you.
The tour guide was a great story teller, the bus ride went very smoothly, and Delphi is gorgeous and weighted down with history and legends. I heartily recommend this tour!
The archaeological site at Delphi was the highlight of my trip to Greece. There is a reason that it is so famous and everyone has heard of the Oracle of Delphi. The ruins themselves are beautiful, and the surrounding scenery and landscapes are breathtaking.
This was a beautiful tour. The bus is very comfortable. It was actually an easier climb than the Acropolis. But still worthy of the time I put in ahead of time working out. The views are great! The tour guide was great! She was so knowledgeable and informative. The tour is broken up nicely with breaks to stop on the way up and way down. The lunch ordered through the tour and served at the restaurant was my favorite of my trip to Greece. It was well worth the money. I wasn't sure if I wanted to order it or not. I did not know what my options for lunch were...bring my own.....go without...or find a place to buy one. I am definitely glad that I ordered one. My only negative is that I would have like to have had at least 15 - 20 min to wander the museum on my own. It is a fabulous museum and deserves more time.
Excellent tour! Very informative tour guide. Great lunch. Well worth the money!
Joy and George were amazing! We had a little car trouble getting out of Athens, but they handled it with grace and humor. The trip was really smooth and we were well-informed of the rest-stops and travel times. Joy was a particular delight in her storytelling, which was consistent and interesting throughout the entire trip. We heard a wonderful mix of factual information about the history of Greek sites, mythology, socio-political positions, and artistic inspiration throughout the tour. We had a great time learning about the specific sites on Delphi itself, with a certain amount of free time left for us to explore on our own. Joy led a fantastic tour of the museum onsite - super-informative, interesting, and fun! The food at lunch was really tasty, though the service was a little bit rushed. Highly recommend this tour!
An outstanding location, and a knowledgeable tour guide who points out all the secrets. One of the best things I did during my time in Greece!
The trip was great! I got to see the countryside along the way to Delphi and then Delphi itself was just amazing. The tour group was about 12 people and the guide was great.
Loved this tour. Our tour guide was full of fun and informative stories. The whole day was wonderful.
Delphi, of course, is spectacular and the journey there was beautiful. Our guide was very informative. On the bus she gave us an introduction to the importance of Delphi and when we arrived she guided us around the temple complex. We then had free time to explore the site ourselves. After the site we visited the Delphi museum and again she guided us around the museum and focused on explaining some of the most important pieces in the museum. Since the schedule was tight, we did not have free time at the museum. The tour comes with the option of lunch. Perhaps the company could consider letting those who do not opt for lunch stay longer at the museum and pick them up after lunch since the bus passes the museum on the way back to Athens. Otherwise I was very satisfied with the tour. It was well organized and very interesting.
