Just wish we had done the 2 day tour as Delphi is beautiful and far too much to see in the day tour. The hotel Amalia at Delphi where we stayed for lunch is in a beautiful setting and an ideal place for a longer stay. Travelling time from Athens makes the visit to Delphi quite short, would recommend an overnight stay for a longer visit and also to take in the Temple of Athena below. Would return to Delphi if we return to Greece.

The trip to Delphi was amazing. The archaeological site was beautiful and the food served was good. But, the tour guide had a thick Greek accent and was hard to comprehend. Also, he got into an argument with one of the guests and was in a foul mood the rest of the tour. The guide stopped at every single display in the museum and site, leaving very little time for self exploration, and, needless to say, most of the tour that didn't leave the main group to explore ahead didn't get to see all of the Delphi site within the allotted time. But this tour is definitely a must if you have a spare day or two in Athens.

The drive up and back is really impressive. The ruins are beautiful and the museum was very nice to visit. Lunch at the hotel was very good. My only complaint was the tour guide. He was very well informed, but very defensive. He seemed to think we didn't believe his facts and presentation. He became rather annoying after a while.

The tour seemed very rushed.

This is an easy way to get to Delphi on one's own without renting a car. However, the bus ride was long. What's more, it's in your best interest to read a lot about Delphi before you go because it's more historically and literary substantial than one tour guide is able to elucidate upon in the time given.

It was nice to see the Greek countryside, but a 3 hour bus ride each way to tour a site that only took 15 minutes to see wasn't really worth it. The museum is nice too, but again, not really worth 6 hours in a bus. We stopped at a town on the way back that was mostly a 'tourist trap'. If that was your only chance to buy a souvenir then great, but otherwise not necessary.
