This was so much fun! Fofi was a great teacher and the tavern provided the perfect setting for this very enjoyable learning experience. We had a great time!!!
What a fun and interactive evening. We learning much more than just the food we were cooking but about some history of food. WHere it came from and how it influenced Greek cooking and eating. There is so much food at the end that you get to take some home with you for lunch tomorrow. I highly recommend this experience to anyone but especially one who considers themselves a foodie!!
Such a great and unique experience. Wonderful staff and the food you make is divine. Do this class, you won't regret it!
Had the most delightful evening with some super people. I learnt a lot of new recipes . Most hospitable
People. Highly recommendable.
It was great fun, Fofi was an excellent Instructor....we made lots of different traditional dishes including Rooster, stuffed zucchinis, spinach and feta filo pies, meat balls, proper greek salad and tzatziki. The food was delicious and a great atmosphere, waiters excellent too..would highly recommend....
The cook was very knowledgeable, and it was great to be able to take in the info and food so we can make it at home. I wish she would have told us a little more alternatives to spicing the food and whatnot, but wonderful and fun.
This cooking class was fantastic. I did not know how many different things I could make with zuccinis. Evangelie was terrific and it was great to see how the breeks cook in every day life. We made spanakopita, zuccini balls, stuffed zuccini, rooster with tomatoes and pasta and tsaziki. The food was beautifull but we had so much that we hope the staff took the rest home. It was a great evening and suitable for all ages. Sure would do this again in another country.
This was great. Enjoyed it very much. Would recommend it. Only hiccup was the change of location to meet. We were apparently sent an email to change locations, as we already were travelling, I did not get that email. But they sent someone to pick us up. Was almost 30 minutes late though.
Excellent experience and Fofi, our instructor extraordinaire, was wonderful, warm, and informative. Loved the small group and it was hands on. Food was excellent and recipes are given at the end. I'd do this again and highly recommend it to all.
Fun and educational both! The instructor/chef was easy to work with and very knowledgeable.
The teacher Fofi was a pleasure to work with and the food was fantastic - this was a highlight of our trip!
This was one of the highlights of our trip to Greece. We prepared a full meal, then the class dined outside. They gave us copies of the recipes. Our meal was delicious and we learned many cooking tips. Met many people. Enjoyed their company when we dined. This is a great event to do!
This was an amazing experience, definitely a highlight of my trip.
The location and teacher were excellent, the restaurant was top notch. We went through over our allotted time but never felt rushed and stayed far too long afterwards drinking wine in the quaint restaurant.
This cooking class was so much fun!! Ilia taught the class some DELICIOUS recipes and we all ate more than our fill!! The company was great and we learned a lot about Greek life in the olden days and now. If you come to Athens and enjoy good food and company sign up for this trip :
I had a wonderful time learning new things about cooking and about the country of Greece. I would recommend this class for anyone traveling.
maria was a warm and wonderful hostess teaching us about greek food and culture. i felt bad that we barely made a dent in all of the wonderful food she helped us prepare, but there was just so much food! (and we had done a walk food tour in the afternoon) definitely an amazing experience, but bring your appetite!
Had a great time and learned some things about Greek cooking, learned some great recipes and met some new friends. If you live to cook, then this is for you!
This was so much fun and the restaurant's atmosphere was great!! Our hostess, Maria, was a blast! We made six appetizers and a main course, and of course we indulge in several Greek wines. Everything was cooked with fresh ingredients. And boy, we ate so much food! Definitely recommend this tour for a perfect gastronomical experience with Greek food. Before we left we were given recipes for all the dishes we made.
My friend and I had a great time learning how to cook some Greek "comfort food" that Greeks grew up eating. The location was inside a charming museum style restaurant where as you get your lesson, you can enjoy the beautiful paintings and wall frescos. The recipes are simple yet delicious and our entire group had a good time laughing and learning and sampling the food as we go along this journey in gastronomic delight. The wine was aromatic without being too sweet or too dry. A classical and intimate setting for a family style gathering of strangers that became friends through this shared experience.
