This tour is an absolute must do. It really does take you through parts of Athens you might not normally see, parts definitly worth seeing. So beautiful! The tour guide was super friendly, funny and well informed. He even brought us traditional Greek treats to eat at the end while we watched the sunset. I highly recommend the sunset option of this tour.
I thought i had reviewed this brilliant tour. The guide really knew his stuff. We walked at a leisurely pace and enjoyed the beauty of Athens- going into little back alleys that i would definitely have not walked in alone. For the finale of the tour we entered a park opposite the Acropolis and as night fell we watched it light up while enjoying some wine and greek food......wow!! This tour was special and i was so glad to have found it.
Do NOT miss this!! Very professional while at the same time I felt like I was being shown around Athens by a friend. Kostas made things come so alive that it didn and #39;t matter that most of the tour was conducted after dark (late October, evening booking) One of my favourite tours ever!! Outstanding!!
Had a great evening and discovered areas hidden away and heard wonderful anecdotes
Outstanding tour. Truly saw areas only an experienced Athenian who loves the city and its history would know about.
This tour enabled us to see parts of Athens we would probably not have found on our own. We were fortunate enough to be the only people who had booked the morning tour so we had the guide to ourselves. He was a mine of information and was happy to talk to us not just about what we were seeing but also about customs, attitudes and even politics in Greece. The tour was well paced, with enough rest breaks. The picnic on the hill at the observatory provided a really memorable experience.
Best tour i had in Greece. The guide is very passionate by his job !
excellent tour many thanks to the guide dont miss out on this tour
Excellent tour. We enjoyed the walking tour and picnic, Kostas was a great guide. Would highly recommended this tour.
awesome!! This was our best tour of Athens. We were met on time at the meeting place, and started straight away, as we were the only people on the tour. We walked around Athens and saw many things we did not know were there - from the hidden insights from the royal gardens to the view from the top of Mars Hill, to the hidden gems in Plaka - amazing!! A must do Tour when in Athens.
Our guide Kostas made the tour unforgettable! His attention to detail, and his stories behind all parts of the tour made it a true highlight!
This was an excellent tour! We were lucky to have Kostas as our tour guide. Friendly, interesting and went out of his way to make sure we got just the right shot in our photography! It was a brutally hot day but Kostas made sure we had plenty of cold water! We realized he was not just reciting history but was part of it as we stopped and watched the amazing changing of the guard... He had been one of those guards and explained his experience!
A very leisurely tour that explores the aspects and areas of Athens we would never have found on our own. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about Athens and Greek history, which really helped flesh out and uncover the uniqueness of the areas we visited
This was an excellent tour. My husbaand and I were the only people on the tour on the morning that we did the tour so we actually had a private tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was well paced. The tasting of Mango liquor at Brettos Bar was an unexpected treat.
My husband and I were the only ones on this tour, so it felt very special. Our guide Marisa?, who is an archaeologist, was not only knowledgeable but funny and very friendly. We got a lot of info but never felt like it was dry. We did this tour in the evening our first day in Athens, and that was the perfect time to do it. It gave us an overview of the area and the sites within a few hours of landing, so this helped us navigate our subsequent days in the city. We watched the sunset and had our picnic on a local hill while we could see tons of tourists watching it from Mars Hill, nearby. We really felt like we got the insider's view of Athens. Marisa also recommended a great local restaurant, Manh Manh, that turned out to be a block from our hotel. I would definitely do this tour with her again!
If you can only do one thing in Athens, make it this! Kostos was the greatest guide we could have asked for, being entertaining, fun, and well informed. He made sure everyone had a great time, and wasn't left feeling rushed. The hidden treasures of the tour were unforgettable!
Our guide was a hoot. Very knowledgable and charismatic. Enjoyed the day immensely. Might have been my favorite part of the week. Nice small group.
I loved this tour. Adam who is the owner of the company took me through certainly the hidden parts as well as the well known parts of Athens. He told stories from such a personal perspective that the city came to life. We went through hidden alleys and came to an area what looked like you were on one of the islands but it is just under the Acropolis. We had a beautifull picnic on the hill overlooking the Acropolis and even the food was made by the owner. He just started cooking class this year as well and I would not mind trying hat next time. Love every minute of this tour.
Kostas our guide was awesome! He really knows the place and its history and he's really down to earth. we got to see so many cool places we wouldn't have if we didn't go on this tour. The lunch and wine is great over a fantastic view. This tour made us love Athens. Plaka was incredible.
I had a fantastic time on this tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and funny. No one in the group was left out, and she created an atmosphere a great atmosphere. There was of course a lot of walking, but it was always at a manageable pace with lots of stops along the way for more facts about the area. Plus the Greek food and wine was lovely. Would highly recommend!
Our guide was in the Greek military when he was younger and was one of the guards that stand out in front of the Greek Parliament building wearing the unique costume. He knew a lot of inside information and made the tour very interesting.
