Why Our Insiders Chose This Tour
It's a quick, laid-back getaway from Athens to a lovely Greek island. Sip wine while you admire the sparkling Aegean Sea, lounge on soft sands and, if you wish, swim in serene coves.
What You Can Expect
As you head away from Athens, your guide will explain the route and point out the many different islands that are dotted about in the distance. Sit back and enjoy the ride -- and a chilled glass of wine with local snacks -- as you’re ferried through the sea by your attentive captain.
The secluded island of Apollo is your destination, and once there you can enjoy a couple of hours at leisure to relax and bask on its beaches.
It was a fun trip, but a little bit of false advertising. The activity description mentioned underwater pictures, and there were none. The snorkeling gear was minimal and didn't work very well. The facemask kept fogging up and the actual snorkel tube/mouth piece kept filling with water. There really wasn't much to see while snorkeling, anyway. I was also disappointed that it wasn't a true sailing trip. The captain only put up 1 sail for part of the trip out to Fleves Island, and the boat's motor ran the entire time there and back. Overall, we still had a good time. We really enjoyed being out on the water, and we did get to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Viator did not give us proper instructions for what to bring. Apparently you need your passport when leaving the harbor in Greece, but we were not informed to bring our passports.
