Had a great guide. Didn't know when I bought ticket this would be included. Unfortunately, I had to wait many hours before I could be admitted to the museum. Thought I was buying ticket to avoid line which there was none.
You really need a guide with knowledge when you visit such a museum as this. We scored such a guide, it was obvious the guide had studied this era and was well informed and approachable to explain finer points. You can after the tour go back and look again at the points and issues the guide raised and really absorb the information the guide brought to light.

The guide spoke beautiful English and was extremely knowledgeable in Greek history and art history. We would definitely book through Viator again.
Our guide really knew her facts- very interesting time- def helped having a guide and then be able to just wonder!

The tour and the guide were very good. No need to skip the line because there wasn't one. But we greatly enjoyed the tour's overview and expertise.
The tour was quite good and quite comprehensive. The tour guide was very pleasant.
We loved the front of the line tour in English, as it allowed us to quickly and efficiently see the most important exhibits in the time we had. Our tour guide was also very good.
It would have been helpful if the website had initially indicated the time of the tour (11:45 am) so we knew this in advance. This is the only time during the day this tour is given, fyi. When we arrived at the museum, at first it appeared that no one knew of our tour. Given this, it might be helpful if the tour guide or someone else followed up with us and/or the museum ahead of time so they were expecting us when we arrived. As it was, we were not sure we were at the correct location until the guide showed up about noon (15 minutes after they were due per our receipt).

The museum is fantastic but the tour was mediocre. The tour guide was informative but the group was too big to hear everything and at the end we just looked around at our own pace. We also had to wait 20 minutes for the tour because it was an extention of an earlier tour at the acropolis and they were running late. It is probably better to actually do a tour directly with the museum.

The museum was great, unfortunately the guide was far too condescending.
when visiting this city this musuem is a must! we were waiting for our guide who missed us at the point of meeting, the staff at the museum quickly found our guide and we had the rest of the time together. some confusion as to the meeting spot. 4 people were left waitng for 20 minutes! perhaps the guide needs to check off the list.
Our guide was very friendly and enthusiastic. However, it was often difficult to comprehend what she was trying to explain with her English. We may have done better with a headset tour in English.
Didn't like being charged extra for access to museum country to the terms of the original purchase agreement. Tour guide was good however there were way tommy people on the tour and it became impersonal and difficult to hear/see the communication fr the guide
The tour guide seemed to be very rushed. It was almost like she wanted to get us through the museum as fast as she could and get on to her next meeting. The museum was very nice. I've been told several times that if you're going to tour something, it's well worth a tour guide. Not here.

The group was very large and it was impossible to hear the guide speak unless you stood very close together, which was very hot. I have no idea if she had good knowledge or information so we dropped out of the tour.
