Usually the domain of billionaires and elite professional yachties, NZL 40 and NZL 41 offer the unique opportunity for everyone to participate sailing on these grand prix racing machines. With the America's Cup being sailed here in 2000 and 2003, no trip is complete without experiencing the real Auckland, 'City of Sails'.
There are two sailing options available - choose to join a two hour sailing experience or a three hour match race (begins October).
- Individual 2 hour Sailing Experience:
Join us for an unforgettable two hours sailing. A unique opportunity to participate as crew on an actual America's Cup yacht. Take the helm, exert energy on the grinders or simply sit back and enjoy the ride as we sail the beautiful
Waitemata Harbour.

Departure Point: Depart from the berth, inside Auckand's Viaduct Harbor at the end of Quay St, situated outside the Loaded Hog bar. You will need to report to the boat 15 minutes prior to departure. - This product must be booked at least 48 hours in advance of travel.
- Confirmation for this product will be received within 48 hours of booking, subject to availability.
- Dress comfortably, flat shoes such as sneakers or boat shoes are best. If it is a great day to bring a hat. Wet weather jackets and sunscreen are provided.
- We sail in most conditions and have wet weather gear if it is raining. As we can sail anywhere in Auckland's waters our experienced crew are able to sail in different areas where there is good wind for sailing.
- All of our sailing's require participation, we have at least four of our crew on each yacht and need a minimum of seven other people to help us sail. So you will get involved and are definitely able to help with the grinding and have a turn on the helm. If you are feeling less energetic and would like to just sit and watch you are more than welcome to.

Participation is encouraged but not a requirement. A tender will be on the race course following the races ensuring the rules are being observed and is available for a limited number of passengers who don't want to participate but still want to be involved in the action.
