You get a real feel for the hard work which built the railway. Also, the Skyrail is breathtaking.

As a tourist in my own country I was proud to see what we have to offer the world in a great adventure trip.

The train trip was all that I expected. The skyrail was much longer than I thought it would be so thoroughly enjoyed it. Very well organised. Staff were cheery and helpful.

I don't like heights so I didn't enjoy the Skyrail all that much, but I must admit the views over the top of the rainforest and out to the reef are spectacular. Kuranda was a little bit touristy but there was plenty there to do. The train back down was better than the Skyrail for me, and passing the waterfall was a highlight.

The scenes from the train and skyrail were absolutely gorgeous!! Wow. However, the town was purely a tourist attraction. I felt it was a little cheesy. Also, my tour guide just took us to the train station and left. It was up to us to be everywhere on time. This caused many people to be late to the buses to go back home. My bus even left two girls behind. Not exactly what I would call professional.
