This three day independent coach tour lets you experience some of the highlights of Kakadu National Park. Travel by luxury coach from Darwin to Kakadu National Park and spend 2 nights in Australia's largest national park, before returning to Darwin. View the ancient Aboriginal rock art at Nourlangie Rock and Ubirr Rock, cruise the East Alligator River and Yellow Waters and paddle a canoe to majestic Twin Falls.

Please advise your full hotel name and address at time of booking. Itinerary: Day 1: Darwin - Kakadu National Park - Yellow Water (L)Kakadu National Park, Yellow Water. Depart Darwin and venture into the vast and diverse landscape of World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. Stop to visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn a little about the park, its history, flora, fauna and ancient culture. Continue to Kakadu's most famous wetland area, Yellow Water billabong for your guided cruise. As you cruise the tranquil waters in this picturesque setting, your guide will provide details on the region's history, ecology and diverse flora and fauna, while you keep watch for crocodiles and the famous Kakadu birdlife. Together with its sizeable crocodile population, Kakadu is the temporary or permanent home to one-third of all Australian bird species, as well as one-third of all Top End plant life. Following lunch, travel to Nourlangie Rock to view galleries of ancient Aboriginal x-ray style artworks. As is evident from all the paintings, this has always been an area of great significance to local Aborigines.

Travel by 4-wheel drive to the edge of the Arnhem Land escarpment and beautiful Jim Jim Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the park. Enjoy a refreshing bushwalk through monsoonal forest surrounded by towering cliffs. Continue along the winding sand track to Twin Falls Gorge where there is time to explore this remote region.

Please Note: Touring today is by small 4-wheel drive vehicle, traveling over sometimes rocky terrain. It is essential you are active and able to paddle your own canoe. Should seasonal conditions not permit visit to Twin Falls, it will be replaced with visit to Maguk (Barramundi Falls).
Day 3: Kakadu National Park- Ubirr - East Alligator River Cruise - Darwin (L)This morning there is time to enjoy and optional scenic flight over Arnhem Land (own expense). Travel to Ubirr before joining the Guluyambi Cruise on the East Alligator River. By special permission, take a short walk into Arnhem Land accompanied by an Aboriginal guide. Call into Bowali Visitor Centre, take photos of giant termite mounds and visit Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre. Early evening, enjoy a glass of wine while watching the changing light of day over the flood plain.

- Accommodation is scarce in this remote region of Australia, therefore booking as far in advance as possible is recommended

Clothing:You will find that casual clothing of all types is the most comfortable. Lightweight drip-dry clothing is ideal, although some warmer clothing for evenings will be handy. Most hotels provide washing and drying facilities. Comfortable shoes are essential on all tours and we suggest that you also pack a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a torch and insect repellent.
Smoking:Government regulations forbid smoking inside coaches and aircraft within Australia. Smokers will find that the frequent stops we make provide opportunities to smoke. Requests for smoking/non-smoking rooms will be passed on to hotels but cannot be guaranteed.
Luggage Limits:Each passenger may take one suitcase, the sum of its width, length and depth not to exceed 160cm (63inches) and a weight limit of 20 kilograms (44 pounds). Airlines generally permit 1 cabin bag per person to be carried on aircraft. Baggage is entirely at owners risk during the tour and the operator strongly recommends travel insurance to be taken out by the passenger to cover baggage and any unforeseen circumstances.
