This three day independent coach tour lets you experience the highlights of the Top End. Travel by luxury coach from Darwin to Kakadu and Katherine before returning to Darwin. View ancient Aboriginal rock art, take scenic cruises and have the opportunity for swimming beneath tropical waterfalls.

Day 1. Jumping Crocodile Cruise, Kakadu National Park, Bowali, Ubirr Rock Art.
Depart Darwin and journey to the Adelaide River to join the Jumping Crocodile Cruise. Watch for wildlife and witness the agility of saltwater crocodiles as they leap from the water. Then enter World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park and visit the Bowali Visitor Centre, learning about the wonders of the park. We then head to the ancient Aboriginal rock art sites at Ubirr. Learn of the significance connected to these X-ray style paintings. You will also see the delicate Mimi paintings, believed to be older than the X-ray style art. There is time this afternoon for you to take a scenic flight over the beautiful Arnhem Land Escarpment (own expense).

Day 2. Nourlangie Art Sites, Warradjan Cultural Center, Yellow Water Cruise.(L)
Travel to Nourlangie Rock to discover the renowned Aboriginal art site. Enjoy spectacular views. Continue to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre before taking a wildlife cruise on Yellow Water billabong. Leaving Kakadu National Park, we travel through the small township of Pine Creek to Katherine. Located in some of the Northern Territory’s best agricultural and grazing country, Katherine is a busy little tourist town. The nearby Nitmiluk National Park is home to Katherine Gorge.

Day 3. Nitmiluk National Park, Katherine Gorge, Edith Falls, Adelaide River War Memorial, Darwin
This morning we journey into Nitmiluk National Park. This spectacular park ncompasses 13 gorges, each formed by the mighty Katherine River cutting its way through the Arnhem Land plateau. Enjoy a guided cruise between the sheer and brilliantly coloured cliffs of Katherine Gorge. Keep an eye out for wildlife and learn the significance of the Aboriginal art that adorns the gorge walls. Continue on to the beautiful Edith Falls, where there’s time for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters. En route to Darwin, stop at Adelaide River, an important soldier settlement during World War II and today the final resting place of more than 430 soldiers and civilians.

Clothing:
You will find that casual clothing of all types is the most comfortable. Lightweight drip-dry clothing is ideal, although some warmer clothing for evenings will be handy. Most hotels provide washing and drying facilities. Comfortable shoes are essential on all tours and we suggest that you also pack a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a torch and insect repellent.
Smoking:
Government regulations forbid smoking inside coaches and aircraft within Australia. Smokers will find that the frequent stops we make provide opportunities to smoke. Requests for smoking/non-smoking rooms will be passed on to hotels but cannot be guaranteed.
Luggage Limits:
Each passenger may take one suitcase, the sum of its width, length and depth not to exceed 160cm (63inches) and a weight limit of 20 kilograms (44 pounds). Airlines generally permit 1 cabin bag per person to be carried on aircraft. Baggage is entirely at owners risk during the tour and the operator strongly recommends travel insurance to be taken out by the passenger to cover baggage and any unforeseen circumstances.
