This was a highlight. Do it! It's worth the money.

If you are near to Uluru and you do not go to this you don't deserve to travel! This is a social, culinary and educational tour de force. It is understated and after a slow start builds to a truly amazing experience. 'Highly recommended' simply doesn't convey my enthusiasm well enough.

Everything ran like clockwork, from the pickup to the drop-off. The star gazing was amazing and very entertaining.

This was an opportunity to meet people from all over the world and share a lovely dinner in a special setting.

We stayed at the Ayers Rock camping ground, so were picked up first and then drove around for an hour picking other people up and then headed out along a very bumpy dirt road to the SoS location. Drinks and canapes were served on a raised area overlooking the rock - you are some distance away, nearly halfway to the Olgas, but you get a nice view. There was plenty of wine, beer, softies and canapes to go round. Going to the toilet was a bit of a drama, through, as the staff have to escort you almost 300m down a pathway to the dinner area and beyond. As it got dark, we headed down to the dinner area, which was laid out nicely with white linen and heaters. It is a buffet style, so whilst the food is OK, it probably won't win any awards. The highlight of the night was the astronomer, who talked us through the stars and night sky and then showed us planets through the telescopes. Once the evening is over, we were all dropped back at our accommodation; the bus ride back was much more jovial as everybody was well lubed from the free flowing wine and beers over dinner.

Too many people and the first view point is too small.

A must-do if travelling to Uluru. The food was of good quality considering the outdoor environment, and we received great service. However, the overall experience was let down by the stench of the pit toilets at the site.

The sunset was great, the canapes were great, the whole experience and meal were great. Eating by only candlelight was challenging but all good. Probably not the one to do with kids, go for the BBQ with them.

We enjoyed the evening very much, we had good company on our table and the food was varies and enjoyable. The flow of wine was generous and the talk on the night sky was excellent.

This was an amazing outback experience! The dinner was nice. The best part of the experience was the star-gazing. What a beautiful southern sky! The staff was very professional and courteous. It was very beautiful to stand on a spot between Ayers Rock and the Olgas and looking at the sunset.

A great experience overall, watching the sunset with a magnificent backdrop and a quite impressive outdoor dining setup. The food I would rate as average at best, but I would do it again if I had the chance. Well worth doing, but don't expect a gourmet meal.

Experience was great. Food was OK but I guess that's not why you are going there. Gazing at the stars was really beautiful, wish there was more of a guide to help us see things. Can get really dark and you are seated with 10 other people at your table, just in case you were looking for something romantic. You meet some great people.
