Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Uluru (Ayers Rock) to Alice Springs One-Way Shuttle. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
Great bus driver, comfortable bus, wonderful way to see the country !
Great driver, lots of interesting little tidbits of information given throughout the trip, two stops to break up the journey, comfortable coach.
Chaufförerna hos AAT Kings är oerhört kompetenta och rena rama turistguiderna. Väldigt roligt att åka med detta bolag.
The commentaries were insightful about the geology of Uluru and Alice Springs and the social and cultural habits of the traditional owners. The shopkeepers are friendly, and there appear (well, according to the coach commentaries) to be colourful stories about local residents.
Stayed a short time but manged to squeeze a lot in and enjoyed everything. Driver on the shuttle from Uluru to Alice informative and the scenery was great.
The trip was relaxing and the scenery was beautiful.just the right mix of stops, and information and appreciated the limited amount of radio and not too loud when it was on. Bus driver great customer service. Very much appreciated the drop off at our hotel in Alice Springs
Thanks form John and Jenny
The bus drivers were excellent. They knew what they were talking about and they were also very friendly. The driver on the second leg of the journey (who drve the bus from where we changed about an hour from Uluru) was hilarious. I cried from laughter and really enjoyed his way of telling stories and how he could make facts interesting.
Also very comfortable bus.
Brillant and very informative. Highly recommended. Bus drivers act as real tour guides.
Everything was very well organised and we were very well treated luxury coaches lots of snacks and food and the drivers / guides were friendly and very helpful was fantastic trip
Better than we imagined! Great organization and precise pick-up.Lots of interesting commentary from the driver/guides and some stops that look like the came out of a movie. Motorcoach was extremely clean and the air-conditioning was appreciated even though it could not entirely keep up with the 100 degree temperatures outside. Comfortable and worthwhile way to get between these two points.
On this trip we had a local (born in Alice Springs) driver. He was really good and explained a lot of things that only a local would know. It was very informative.
WE were expecting the journey to be tiring and boring. We were highly surprised, we enjoyed the trip. It was very comfortable and the time went very quickly. We saw some great scenery in the Outback and were kept well informed of what to look out for. We saw some wildlife as well. Our driver narrowly avoided running over a Thorny Devil Lizard as it crossed the highway. We were told it was very rare to see one of these. Our driver also told us about the Wedge Tailed Eagle, they usually fly straight towards the coaches. True to form shortly after, our driver had to brake heavily as one attacked us, but flew over the coach just in time.
We were not aware that we would have to transfer coaches at the junction with Kings Canyon. We left our Ereader/Tablet on the coach, but thanks to Karl who found it and the staff at AAT especially Sheree it was returned to us in the UK.
I would highly recommend this trip and the excellent Customer Service of AATKings.
