Great camel, great guide, still no amazing color on Uluru at sundown.

We had a very good guide who was informative about the role of camels in early Outback transportation and about plants. It was a very controlled experience, which was a good thing. My kids loved it.

We enjoyed this very much, especially me because I am an animal lover. What freaked me out was that at the end of the tour they offered us a light meal that included camel meat. How disgusting and barbaric!

The camel ride at sunset was the highlight of my thirteen-year-old's trip. The experience of riding a camel and the stillness and colors of the desert at sunset during this very slow ride were a joy. Dress warmly in the a.m. and p.m. during their winter months. Without sunshine, the desert can be very cold and uncomfortable if you are not prepared.

I was quite apprehensive before this tour, but the event was fabulous. The guys taking it put me at ease. The ride was one of those things you should do before you die, and the information about plants we saw was good. If anything, I would like a bit more interpretation, but this might be a bit difficult, given the line of camels also has to be led! Well worth doing.

Camels are roped together in a caravan, so don't think it's like horseback riding. It was interesting learning about camel-travel, and these animals seemed well cared for. There were nice views of Uluru, and the guide even took pictures for you of you on the camel. Based on our experience in Uluru, I'd suggest skipping the sunrise/sunset rides, and stick with the cheapest option!

We had the most amazing camel ride at Ayers Rock, Australia. We did the sunrise tour and it was certainly worth getting up early for. It was so peaceful and the camels were very well behaved. At that time of the morning the temperature was pleasant and I think most of the flies were still asleep. Our sunrise view was a bit covered by cloud but it didn't stop us having a wonderful time. Our guide was also very knowledgeable about his surroundings and also put us all at ease whilst perched upon our camels. The billy tea and beer bread was also very good. Would certainly suggest this trip for old and young alike.

Fantastic trip. Beautiful views at sunset from atop the camel. The guide was very informative, but mostly fun! Only drawback was the annoying flies, but they had nothing to do with the tour.

The trip was as promised, but we were disappointed in how far away from Uluru we actually were during the ride. The guide was informative. The food described was pretty much worthless. The camels were well behaved and the tour group was interested in our safety. In terms of value, was relatively expensive for what we got. Would not do it again.

We did camel express, our party of 10 were the only people on the tour which was good, however guide wasn't very talkative and only spoke to give instructions or when directly asked a question. We would have liked more information!
