Evening Ice Walk and Campfire
After pickup from your Banff hotel in the evening, your guide will take you to Johnston Canyon inside Banff National Park for a unique nighttime adventure. On the way to the trailhead, you’ll travel through Bow Valley Parkway, a prime wildlife habitat.
Using your provided headlamps, walk through the narrow canyon along steels catwalks built into the canyon walls. Your guide will tell stories and share facts about the canyon’s interesting geology and point out unique features of the impressive rock formations, letting you appreciate the canyon at night.
Enjoy aerial views of the gorge below as you make your way through tunnels to the lower icefalls, where photo opportunities abound.
After your walk, you’ll be treated to hot chocolate and maple cookies. You’ll then be dropped off at your Banff hotel around 9pm.
