Brilliant trip, amazing sights saw how the river people were living. Food lovely. Sadly lost our photos so if you have been recently perhaps i could have a copy of some photos.

This cruise could be a highlight of your trip! You're picked up at the hotel at 2 p.m., and returned to the hotel by 5 p.m. First you ride in a motorized boat along the river, then transfer to the rice barge and ride along a canal. After passing in front of the Royal Barge Museum (where you're able to peek inside), you're given the opportunity to buy a loaf of bread to feed the fish, or you can simply take pictures of the fish being fed. After that, you're given a lavish buffet of sweets and ripe tropical fruits, along with a fruit punch drink with (or without) alcohol.
The commentary en route is interesting, and the whole experience is memorable.

We did enjoy this two-hour afternoon cruise. The journey was well organized and the food and drink served on the barge were very good. We highly recommend this tour.

They said it was interesting, calming, lovely being on the water, and the snacks

If there is a "must do" in Bangkok, the Rice Barge Cruise is it. The first hour on a narrow boat (not a long tail boat) is OK but after transferring to the Rice Boat the trip suddenly becomes wonderful. I have no hesitation in recommending it and will certainly do it again when we are next in Bangkok. As an aside, the snacks on the Rice Boat are unbelieveable - every kind of fresh fruit that you can think of and the sticky rice is excellent

Top stuff. My second time on this tour and it was just as much fun the second time around (although i remember more drinks being brought around the first time). Good for just kicking back and taking in the scenery and accompanying interesting commentary. The mango and sticky rice is delightful, and the other fruits are great too.
