Beautiful buildings, worth the visit. Guide was very informative and we were only a small group 5. Pick up from the hotel. The tour ended at the largest gem factory in the world, which was 'not part of the tour' and we were not obliged to buy anything. The gem factory organised drop off back to our hotel or at any other place that we wanted to visit. I was surprised that this tour identical in every detail was more expensive booking through Viator than if I had booked it through the hotel where I was staying.
Well what an eye opener, Peter our guide was fantastic, if you don't do this tour you are missing out on a true part of Bangkok's history.
Beautiful temples and great tour. Loved learning the history of Thailand. Great tour that only takes up a few hours in the day. I didn't find enough time to take pictures but the guide was patient! Remember to cover shoulders, legs and feet for this tour.
The tour was well organized and very informative. I would highly recommend this tour.
Its impossible to imagine what is this if you dont experience it. You cannot miss this tour
A must see!! beautiful!..Our guide,Yellie was amazing....She gave us an education in Thai culture and heritage and explanation of every structure that made it do much more than the tour I expected.....
Wow! This is a must see while in Bangkok. I can't believe it took me 4 visits to get there. The guide was so knowledgable and friendly and the palace grounds are amazing! Such a beautiful place.
We had a great tour guide and this landmark is definitely the best attraction in Bangkok. If you only take one tour in this city, this is the tour to take.
Wonderful and informative guide. Explained a lot of history and symbolism surrounding Buddhism.Very grand and elaborate palace complex. Cannot come to Bangkok without visiting this complex.
Tour guide Peter was prompt, funny and informative. We joined a bigger group in a bus, tour ended in a gem factory. It was ok, venue was at least air conditioned on a very hot day and allowed us time to use clean facilities or take a breather. We were then shepherded to various vans to send us off to our next preferred desitnation. Sunday at the Grand Palace and temples were very crowded, suggest to go on a weekday.
our guide was knowledgable, funny, and his English was fluent. This tour gave us enough time to see everything without dragging on. I would definitely recommend taking a tour to see The Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha, because wihout one you wouldn't learn as much.
A very early start made viewing the fantastic Palace a pleasure as it was very quiet with few tourists and the sun not too hot early in the day. This palace is amazing and a must see while in Bangkok. A small group made this even better for us and meant that not much time was spent picking up other guests. Another very good guide who let us choose not to go to the shopping opportunity on the way back.
Tour was well organised and our guide, Hai was friendly and informative. We were collected on time from the hotel and the transport to and from was clean, safe and refreshingly cool. The tour content was detailed without dragging on too long, which was ideal as our group had ages ranging from 20-50+ years. This tour is a must-see for first time visitors to Bangkok as it gives a lot of cultural background. Of course we had to suffer the obligatory visit to a gemstone wholesaler on the return, but you get used to that in Bangkok as every tour does it.
