I have to say, it was flawless. We had been on a cruise on the Silver Shadow and flew from Singapore to Bangkok, where we took the tour. Your organization had left a message at our hotel changing pick up by 10 minutes, and it all went off without a hitch. Will use your organization again and highly recommend it.
We were a private group of four. We saw more than we thought we would. It was an amazing experience.
A++ tour guide. Very friendly and informative. Highly recommended to take this tour!
Very interesting and a paradise for people who love to photograph colorful people and places!
This was an absolutely marvellous trip. Our drive to the market was quick and efficient, and our guide Pearl was interesting, enthusiastic and very friendly. The market itself was fascinating, even when just walking around it, but the boat-ride among the stalls was the highlight - we bought some delicious snacks, cooked to order and passed across by fishing net, as was the cash; we didn't mind having our boat hooked and hauled in by some of the more opportunistic stallholders, and we acquired some super souvenirs (there's a huge variety of stock, some lovely, some awful, but something for everyone) - while we were there we booked and paid for the boat-ride as an extra, and were very glad we did. We would like to have had longer there (maybe 3-4 hours, in total) and to have had fewer stop-offs, opportunities to buy, on the way back (although in fairness there was never a hard sell), but overall this was a superb day out, and very well organised/guided.
We opted for a private tour as my husband uses a wheelchair but is also able to walk and transfere. We had a wonderful time. Lovely guide and driver picked us up from hotel. We stopped at coconut plantation and watched how they used every piece of the coconut - there was opportunity to buy products if you wanted. As an extra she took us to see the elephants and we both had a ride.
The floating markets were fascinating our guide was so attentive making sure my husband could manage everything. We paid extra for a small boat through the main market area. Again a boat was adapted so my husband could get in ok and be comfortable. They arranged to drop us off at a better landing for safety - once again as soon as we arrived our guide and driver were waiting. If you are disabled and want to do this trip it is possible and people are very helpful. The only down side was getting an email from Viatour telling us it was going to cost us £10 extra for a bigger car for wheelchair even though we explained our chair folded down small and the wheels came off and it would fit any car boot. But in the end we had to pay the extra £10 - but the car was nice and our driver very attentive.
Great experience.I recommend this tour to everyone visiting Bangkok's
"Tiny" was our tour guide and she was so delightful! She could not do enough for us. Aside from what was included on our tour, she showed included a couple of extras and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the day! Everything we saw was impressive and delightful and made us all want to go back to Bangkok!
Excellent tour, great guide who spoke really good English. We were well looked after- perfect timing of arrival at markets, getting on rowing boat, long tail pick up, lunch at markets. Trip to wood carving was good, it was a great day, highly recommended. Thank you!
Fantastic trip. Made even better by the fact that we had the same guide and driver from the previous day, this made things very relaxed. Well organised and still had chance to relax by the pool in the afternoon. Thank you Mr Tawee!
The boat ride to the market was the best part. It takes place in a long tail boat across narrow canals where you get to see how people actually live. The market itself was too tourist oriented. However, going to Bangkok and not visiting the floating market is just plain dumb. You must do it.
We had a fantastic time despite the national holiday - so many vendors were not on the water. Our guide had lovely English and pointed out so much of interest along the way (sea salt production, coconut plantation, teak carving) without any pressure to buy. The private car picked us up right on time - there is something to be said for riding in a black mercedes through the countryside. There was no pressure to get to the next stop and we had plenty of time for photographs - who needs shopping? I would probably recommend the whole day tour rather than just the half day - I feel like we missed some great opportunities to see and learn more. Our guide was very nice and answered all our questions. Once she realized I was there for the photos, she made sure that I got to see the grounds and the demonstrations to pick up the details others might not be interested in seeing. The "high speed" boat tour was fantastic - all the altars were decorated and the flowers in bloom at each home just made the trip feel special. The market was a great riot of color and several vendors actually carried larger sizes (US 14 and up) of clothing. There were not a lot of bargains to be had, but it was certainly eye candy.
