An amazing adventure from start to finish - the submarine was very comfortable and the staff were absolutely superb. A 45 minute trip under water and very serene and packed with marine life and information. At first glance, you may think it pricey, but it is not - well worth every , or !
I thought this was expensive, however, it is the sort of thing I will probably never get to do again in my life, so well worth it. We were told that we would be underwater for around 40 minutes. It felt much longer than this. At first, I didn't think we were going to see much, but the deeper you get the clearer the visibility at least on the day we did the tour The submarine also turns around, whenever there is something of interests, such as the shipwreck, so that people on each side of the boat get to see it.
I wasn't expecting to see dolphins, or sharks or even an octopus and we didn't. I was simply in awe of being 142 feet below the sea. We did see lots of fishes, a ship wreck and a turtle which was really cool.
The entire process is also very safe.
Trip lived up to reputation, crew were informative with very relaxed atmosphere on board, all too soon it was over. If we go back to Barbados will do trip again.
One of the most incredible experiences of my lifetime . Will be sure to do it again
Excellent adventure. If you do not scuba dive then this is a must thing to do.Well worth the money spent.
It was an awesome experience and the commentator was wonderful!
Very interesting and really enjoyed the ship wreck and sea life. Very friendly
Excellent trip - does exactly what it said on the tin!
Well organised at Barbados and I got some excellent photos and videos through the large portholes.
I'd recommend this to anyone; especially if you can't snorkel or dive (like me)
they could not have done it better. Not claustraphobic and air con kept us cool. Shoals of fish close up were amazing. good banter from crew made tour fly by.

It was more than I expected. Great crew on top of the water as well as below.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and very friendly. They made sure the children on board were actively involved with searching for marine life. We were not squished inside the submarine. The pilot made sure that the views were seen by both sides of the vessel. Got to see a giant female turtle on the reef. Very exciting.
What an amazing time we had. It was a wonderful experience and the staff could not do enough for us. You can not go to Barbados and not go on the Atlantis Submarine trip. Highly recommend this to all ages.
This was amazing. Well organised, well run and a great experience. We dived to 145 feet and saw a shipwreck and many types of fish and coral. The only downside was that when I booked with Viator the cost of the trip was advertised as including free round trip transport from the hotel during March. When I arrived at the submarine office I was charged for the cost of transport and had to pay B15. This was annoying and put a slight blight on what was a great day.
Note from Viator: Thanks for your note. We've contacted the supplier on your behalf, and they have acknowledged the mistake and have agreed to refund the difference. Thanks again for your feedback, it helps us to make sure mistakes like this are fixed quickly.

This trip was as good as you would expect without any feeling of claustrophobia, which was my concern. There was plenty of room aboard, plus it was well air conditioned and well lit. The only problem was that I could have stayed down there all day!
A great unique opportunity with excellent, fun and informative guides/staff
This was a great alternative to snorkeling for those like my father that struggle with swimming. We were able to see many sea creatures like different fishes, a turtle, and a sting ray. Looking at the ship wreck was interesting too. Watching the submarine surface and boarding was exciting. It was worth trying once but not worth going more than one time. It can get crowded but luckily we were in a group of 12 people, the group before us had at least 20 people. It was hard to take clear pictures but definitely worth going at least once.

Turned up for our booked trip and were taken to the transfer boat, only to then be told that the trip had been cancelled due to the rough seas. This was extremely disappointing as the trip had been a birthday present and booked several months in advance. However, the staff were very helpful and as we were staying in Barbados, had the chance to re-book for a couple of days later. Incidentally, we also discovered that a hotel pick-up had been included which we were not aware of (it was our impression that it was excluded from the trip price and could be arranged if wished). At our second attempt, we were picked up from our hotel in St Lawrence (free of charge) and had a great trip on the Atlantis submarine. The staff were all very welcoming and entertaining and gave great commentary on the various coral and marine life in evidence below the waves. Photography was a little tricky as colours are not natural (in the pictures) and clarity is difficult to achieve, however this did not greatly detract from the experience.
Overall, worth doing and transfer back to the hotel at the conclusion was very much appreciated
My husband really enjoyed the Atlantis Submarine Tour. Me not so much. This was a "face your fears" event for me so I'm probably not the best person to rate the tour. He would take it again and hoped to see more marine life (octopus, barracuda etc).
