Picasso was a regular at the famous El Quartre Gats café, whose name translates as the The Four Cats. As well enjoying regular tipples here, it was also the stage for his first ever art exhibition.

What You Can Expect
Start your walking tour by meeting your guide in central Barcelona at 3pm for the English-language tour, where you'll begin a walk through the life of the artist during his time here from 1895 to 1905. The rich creative climate that was prevalent in the city during Picasso's time played a critical role in the artist's development.
Follow your guide along the bohemian thoroughfares where Picasso once walked, stopping at El Quatre Gats, a well-known Barcelona café where the artist once socialized with the city's creative community. Pass by the Llotja Mar, an art school where Picasso once honed his craft, taking time to view the three friezes at the Frisos del Col-legi d'Arquitectes, which represent the artist's only open-air works.
Proceed to a variety of other key sites with significance to Picasso, pausing to investigate spots where he once painted and taking a leisurely stroll through the La Ribera quarter as you make your way to the Picasso Museum. This gallery, which contains one of the world's largest collections of the artist's work, is frequently plagued by long lines for entry. Thankfully, your tour allows you the opportunity to skip the line, so proceed inside to check out the museum's massive collection covering more than 4,000 Picasso works. During your exploration of the museum, gain added insight from your guide, who will help navigate you to the most important highlights, many of which were created during the artist's formative early years.
Finish your tour at the museum, which you can continue to explore at your leisure or depart when you're ready.
Great way to work around the streets of Barcelona, hearing about Picasso's early experiences in the city. The Picasso museum mainly focuses on his early life, so if your expecting more modern works you may be disappointed. Definitely worth the money.
Our tour guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and passionate about Picasso. Enjoyed it a great deal.
Good balance between the different balances of Picassos life and his work. Nice walk.
The tour itself was quite interesting but finding the exact meeting location was not a pleasant experience. We waited in line at the wrong counter only to be directed to another counter where we again had to wait in line. There were no clearly marked visible signs for the walking tour and the guide was extremely rude and sarcastic when I brought this to her attention.
Great tour, great guide reasonable price.
Fabulous! A great guide made this tour simply brilliant . If you have any an inkling of interest in Picasso, it's a must do.
What a wonderful and enlightening tour. Not only did we get to see the Picasso museum with a guide who had a doctorate in art history, but we also got to wander around the neighborhood where Picasso once lived and it was a fascinating area that we would have never found on our own. Our guide, Juan, was very articulate and had a passion for his subject. We learned so much both on the walk and inside the museum. I totally enjoyed this activity!
the best guide around Barcelona -Gotic Bari- and our trip to the Picasso. Our guide was informative took as to all the highlights of the area and ending up at the picasso! I highly recommend this tour!
Another good tour and all about Picasso's early years. Elizabeth knows art and how cultural influences changed Picasso's view and paintings. Be aware that if you take the 3 PM tour, the museum is the last stop after nearly 2 hr of walking. It is a large museum and so you may want to save some energy prior. This tour left right on time, so don't be late.
