What You Can Expect
When you reach the stables, your guide will give you a quick safety briefing and show you how to put on your riding hat, before helping you into the saddle for a practice session around the riding arena and show you basic command such as walk and halt for approximately 30 minutes. Every effort will be made to ensure that you’re well matched to your horse, with novice riders given the gentlest ones.
Setting off at a leisurely pace, follow your guide on horseback along secluded roads to this incredible park. Here, you’ll ride through the Catalan countryside typified by leafy forests, lush pine groves and rolling hills. Your guide’s expert knowledge of the local terrain means that you’ll be taken on the best trails to suit your ability.
While this riding tour is aimed at novice- to intermediate-level riders, should you be more advanced, your guide will give you the opportunity to trot or canter through this gorgeous countryside. After roughly 1.5 hours of riding, return to the stables and help the groom unsaddle, shower or feed your horse.
Before returning to Barcelona, sit down and relax with the rest of your group to enjoy a light lunch of bread, Spanish omelet and cheeses, while sharing tales of your unforgettable horseback adventure in Spain.
The tour guides were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and the ride was great from beginners to advanced. Our daughter is an advanced rider, and felt that the horses were very well cared for and the ranch and trail rides were wonderful.
Amazing experience! The views, horses, food, guide, everything!! I truly got my moneys worth, would recommend to everyone
Fantastic trip - really recommend it if you are visiting Barcelona and fancy a day out in the country. Lots of expert help and guidance with riding tips and caring for the horses.
This was a GREAT activity for our family. We LOVED the horses -- they were extraordinarily gentle and responsive. We appreciated the time we were given in the corral to get to know our horses before hitting the trail. This is not a wilderness experience -- more suburban, but we were led up a hill at the top of which we had a breathtaking, panoramic view of greater Barcelona. We would do this trip again. It was a great break from museums and cathedrals
Excellent , wonderful guides , beautiful scenery , delightful well schooled horses and ponies . Would definately recommend .
Brilliant day out, guy who met us was absolutely lovely. Stunning countryside, fun riding and nice lunch to complete. Highly recommend.
One of the best experiences.. Everyone was friendly and knowledgable. Would recommend highly
We had such a great time on this trip and the horse back riding was a big reason for that. The guide, trainer, and others at the venue were all very friendly and helpful! The views were incredible and horses wonderful. I would go back any day. Strongly recommend for anyone!
As a study abroad student for a semester here in Barcelona, it was a wonderful opportunity to get outside of the city of Barcelona and see a different side of life here. The people involved were very friendly and shared a wealth of information about their own experiences as Catalan natives. I was picked up promptly by Barbara and when I got to the stables, Alex gave a short tour of the facilities. There were two other people also riding along with myself and two guides. It was nice to be able to help in getting the horse [Limbo] ready. We spent a short time in the ring to prepare for the trails. The views of Barcelona are beautiful, but are even better on horseback! The horse that I rode could definitely be ridden by a beginner; All of the horses appeared to be very friendly and easy to ride. The light lunch was definitely influenced by Catalan culture and was very tasty. I even got to walk Limbo to the pasture with Alex's horse. Pictures were taken throughout the morning/afternoon and they were emailed to me a few days later. Not having to worry about taking pictures is definitely a plus! I would recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in horses or would like to venture outside of the busy city of Barcelona. I had the best time and would go every weekend if I could... :)
Alex was a great guide and the whole riding tour as well as a Catalonian lunch experience was simply magnificent! Very professional and as advised in a brochure is off a beaten track. Thank you very much for this experience!
