We arrived in Barcelona in the morning and the tour was at 3:00, just right after lunch. The meeting place was close to Plaza Catalunya which was very convenient. The tour guide spoke english which was a plus. He gave you a choice either to explore the area by yourself or walk with him while he explained the area. The area is majestic. You're so high above ground. The tram ride was a different experience. Took pictures. I would recommend the tour. At 6:30, we were on our way home.
The trip started with a nice ride into the countryside and the tour guide provided an excellent prelude to the site. The tour at the basilica was as thorough as it good be with religious services going on. The location and scenery are spectacular but the traffic and parking were a distraction.
We enjoyed and had a good time in this tour; our local guide was good and knowledgeable, and our driver Lucio was very good - his driving was smooth, despite the high altitude and narrow road to Montserrat. Good job to the company which is the local operator.
The tour was very well organized. Excellent communication from the staff very easy to book online or on your mobile phone and the tour guide was a nice young lady that was multilingual (which by the way puts us US tourists to shame). Recommend it highly.
Although it took us a couple of wrong turns to get the street number right for the meeting point, we found it with relatively no trouble. We had a great afternoon. But unfortunately it rained which spoiled the views (and our clothes). The cathedral was very very full and we had to wait for awhile before we could enter despite having prepaid our tickets.
Our tour guide was very informative about the history of Montserrat but we had to take ourselves around which I wasn't aware of. I thought the tour guide would be with us the whole time.
It was so wonderful. Good guide, good driver, good bus. I recommend to everyone who want discover Montserrat .
This was well worth it, we did the half day, and was not rushed. I would recommend it to any traveling to Barcelona. Our tour guide Mark was wonderful.
Simply amazing!!! Great tour, great place, very historic and mystic. I've been wanting to come here for the last 5 years, and finally did it. If you go to Barcelona include this tour in your trip, and will not regret it. The tour guide, Julio, was very good and offered a lot of info about the place and other stories. Thanks for the experience. Will do it again without any doubt
We really liked our guide; she spoke English, German and Spanish, and was quite humorous. A very enjoyable day, seeing an unusual place. It was beautiful in the church and all around.
If you have time while in Barcelona Montserrat is well worth the trip. It was incredibly beautiful.
Although the day started out very rainy and cloudy, it cleared on and off enough to make the magnificent mountains even more spectacular. The church was one of the most beautiful I can remember seeing and being able to hear the boys choir sing was a wonderful treat! This is a must tour if you have the time.
Excellent trip. Could've spent longer but well worth it
Tour company good , excellent guide.
I do highly recommend this trip. We had trouble coming up with words other than "Wow" and "Amazing". Unbelievable is another word we said a lot. The bus ride to Montserrat was good and we liked the information our guide shared on the way there. She was great. Once there, we were overwhelmed by the absolute beauty of the mountain and the buildings up there. The Basilica is gorgeous and all the religious history we learned is so interesting and unlike anything we've ever gotten to be part of. Walking the trails was another thing these Florida girls don't ever do. Trip of a lifetime! Thank you for making it so great.
