Although we had quite a bit of rain it was a fun day over all. We enjoyed the winery, which we saw first because it was on Sunday. Montserrat was beautiful and would only ave been better with a clear day. The monestery is not to be missed.
This was an excellent trip and I would recommend to all vistors the Barcelona. The guide was excellent providing a great deal of information and answering all questions thoroughly. The monestry is in an exceptional location and the trip is worth the cost alone. The winery tour was excellent and once agin extremely informative and not just another sales pitch for the wine.
The trip was memorable. View from Monserrat was majestic and the tour to the Cava winery was just beyond words. Our tour guide was good and the people on the trip were also very friendly, so we had a great time. Unfortunately the time we had at the Monserrat was not quite enough, so we cannot do all the things that we would love to do. Overall it was a highly recommended trip.

I had a great time. The van driver was very cordial and accomodating, All attending got to get to know each other and Montserrat was a dream. After the Cava (Codorniu) was a beautiful and very professional tour of the facility. A great day trip
When re-confirming this tour the day before, we were informed that as we were the only two booked on the tour and that the weather was not going to be good, would we like to consider transferring to their Salvador Dali Experience tour at no extra cost. Would like to note that we still had the option to go on this tour but we decided on the Dali Experience. Even though it would have been nice to go to Montserrat, the Dali Tour was fantastic with all the credit going to Andy (the guide) who made the day. highly recommend the Dali Experience Tour if you have Andy. Cannot comment on this tour.
This was our second tour with Explore Catalunya. There were only 6 people in our group. The scenic drive to Montserrat is a wonderful way to see the countryside outside Barcelona. Our guide, who was also our driver, did a great job. She had a great sense of humor; and seemed to enjoy sharing information about the area. The cava winery tour was excellent! It was simple to book this tour with Explore Catalunya through Viator before we left home.
Wonderful experience and a fabulous tour guide. Having mobility issues but wanting to experience this was a challenge. Our guide took care of the main group and then came back to my husband and myself and took us on alternative routes that I could negotiate. This area of Spain was an incredible experience and we were thrilled to have been able to be part of it. I would highly recommend this tour and especially our guide who was very knowledgeable and especially caring for participants who cannot keep up with the others. Great job and thank you so much.
A wonderful day trip that we highly recommend. We had plenty of time to walk on the mountain paths. It is a beautiful place! The tour of the cava wine cellars was a great deal of fun. A perfect day out from Barcelona.

Our tour with Anna to Montserrat and Codorniu Winery was spectacular! The drive was quick, the time at Montserrat was long enough to hike from the top of the mountain back down to the monastery, and the winery tour and tasting was the perfect end to the day. I highly recommended this tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain!
We were greeted by a friendly British gentlemen at the tour office and came our lovely guide Luana who took the group of 5 on the trip. It was one of the smallest tour groups I ever had and it was good as we didnt need to waste time waiting to congregate a larger group.
We all hopped into the van and we headed out to Monserrat. I felt safe in her good driving skills. I enjoyed Monserrat but just that we didnt have that much time to do all the things we could see as we needed to catch our next stop at the Cava visit. I managed to take the tramride up to the top where the view was simply spectacular. There was a couple of treks where we could take but I needed to get back to the Bascilica to catch the boys' choir sing. Lunch was a quick one as I wanted to bring home some local produce of Monserrat. At abt 2pm, we had to leave Monserrat to the winery. To my amazement, I was impressed by this visit where we had the opportunity to visit the storage area of the Cava wineries. Our host was just fantastic with a good sense of humour and extremely charming in his well fitted suit. He escorted us throughout explaining and riding in a tram 27m below the ground was also quite an experience! We enjoyed both tours and also made some good purchase of true Spanish Sparkling wines. I would recommend this tour.
