This tour provided an excellent overview and enough time for exploring on your own at Monsterrat. The Cava Trail was informative and enjoyable. Our guide did an excellent job!

Our guide was very knoweldgable and made nice suggestions for our free time and lunch. I would suggest everyone take the opportunity to see the boys choir practice - it was such a nice experience. The finnicular to the very top of the mountain offers maginificent views even with a little bit of cloud cover.

Wonderful. Our guide, Jordi, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We loved the Montserrat, which included a concert by the boy's choir. The Cava Trail at the Codorniu winery was great.

This tour is everything you've read-about... small, comfortable minibus transportation to Codorniu (to learn all about sparkling wines) then Montserrat (with an initial guided tour then plenty of time to wander on your own). And consider yourself fortunate if Julia is your guide - she's amazing!!!

The small tour was excellent, guide offered great information regarding the site and how to be at the best spots and the best times. The site is breathtaking and photos will not do this place justice. Worth the money. The Cava trail was interesting but the Montserrat trip was incredible.

Fantastic guide from Explore Catalunya Tours. Very funny, very knowledgeable and extremely passionate about Barcelona. The views from the mountain were fantastic, choir was angelic and also the tour to the Cava estate was fantastic as well. Well worth it.

The tour was fantastic and well worth the day. The history, the views, the wine, the architecture and the choir all created lasting memories. The tour guide, Feliciano, was fantastic. Very safe driver in a very comfortable bus. He added value to every moment over what was a long, but great day. He was very well informed and an interesting, passionate individual. Thanks again. All the best. Steve and Linda....

Montserrat is the consummate travel dilemma: many things to do and see and not enough time! The tour information is wonderful and then in your free time you can take the funicular up to the top of the mountain (well worth the round trip fare but not enough time to hike too far), go down to the cave where the statue of the black virgin was discovered (we did not have time to do this but wish we did), go to hear the choir sing (wonderful sound however VERY crowded and not worth the wait in our opinion). The real issue became getting lunch and getting back to the bus on time after listening to the choir, especially if you want to shop for souvenirs at all. If you are pressed for time go to the self-serve counter near where the buses are parked and pick up food to go. The next stop (only a few minutes away) is at a thousand year old chapel where you can eat your lunch. The cava winery is beautiful with a fun (especially the tram ride through the cellars at breakneck speed!) and informative tour. It is NOT a big sale job and the tasting is fabulous. Very interesting to see this aspect of Spanish culture.

Best thing we did. Our tour guide was great and we had enough time to not have to rush to see things in Monserrat. We even had time to purchase some cheese and wine and have a picnic. The choir boys singing in the cathedral was spectacular and then to top things off we went to the Cava took the tour of how it is made and enjoyed champagne.Fantastic day

A perfect way to get out of the city and see the amazing landscape of Montserrat - and there's a lot to do there, you won't be disappointed - and to be taken around a Penedés vineyard, sampling some cracking little numbers and the opportunity to buy some too!
