We enjoyed the varied day of activities with our wonderful tour guide, Feliciano, whose knowledge of the area kept it so interesting. We had a perfect September day Saturday for our tour and we were lucky to strike market day in the historic town of Vic. At the end of the sealed road at the quaint village of Queralbs we caught the rack railway up to Valle de Nuria where it opens out to a a grassed area overlooking a beautiful lake and resort hotel. Here we enjoyed the few hours of free time and we chose to take the gondola price included up to a vantage point where we saw many keen hikers walking through the mountains. We spent the rest of our time walking around the lake and just soaking up the beautiful environment. Time allowed a look around Queralbs on our return and again Feliciano kept us enthralled with its fascinating history. It was wonderful to be transported from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona for a day.
This was a tour full of beautiful vistas and panoramas! Mabel, our tour guide was simply amazing, giving us every detail about the places we visited. I really loved Nuria with the beautiful lake scenery. We also had time to go on a lovely hike in the mountains which was not difficult at all. A tip which I can give you is to buy some food for this tour, as there aren't many food options in the mountains, or else you buy it from Vic since there are many shops and there is also the market there. Highly recommended! Thanks Mabel!
Perfect weather, perfect time of year. Good way to see the Pyrenees if you have limited time or don't want to rent a car. Our guide was Mabel and driver Giuseppe, did a great job.
Loved the mix of beautiful mountain vistas and historic town visits. David was an engaging guide who shared his knowledge and love of the area. We had a little less time to explore Vic than we had hoped due a rainstorm but the trip's plan was one that allowed us to see and experience a part of the Pyrenees that we would have not have pursued on our own. David offered information about Catalan history as well points of interest in and around Barcelona for future touring. This trip was worth the time and money.
Excellent guide, excellent trip. The mountains were beautiful. The length of the trip was perfect.
Enjoyed the tour and time in the mountains - great views and hiking. Our guide, Veronica, was very helpful and knowledgable!
This tour was amazing!!! Mabel was our guide and was excellent. We first stopped off at Vic - a medieval town with a Roman Temple and a lovely market square. The locals at Vic were very friendly. We then went to the Pyrenees and after a quick stop at Querables, a charming mountain town, we took the train up to Nuria. The Pyrenees and Nuria were more beautiful and majestic than I had imagined. The view was just stunning. The resort at Nuria offered hiking which we did, horseback riding, and boating. The tour description does say to dress warmly for this tour and I advise taking that seriously. We didn't and had to buy rain jackets in Nuria.
Excellent tour guide, really informative. We visited a large winery oldest in Europe, original dates to 55 BC and a much smaller one with about 15 of the capacity. We learned a great deal about the two quite different methods used to produce wine at these vignoles, and we had two excellent tasting sessions, 5 and 6 samples, respectively. We bought three bottles total. A small group - the traveling comp
anions, mostly Irish, helped make this a superb experience. Bottom line - the guide was superb. We think her name was Veronique
If you love nature and beautiful scenic views, you don't want to miss this tour. The views on the pyrenees mountains were simply gorgeous, definitely a good place for a short hike. Plenty of time on the mountains to spend exploring. We had the chance to visit a small town called Vic on our way there which was an added bonus. The locals were friendly and we had an enjoyable 1.5 hours to spend exploring the marketplace. The guide was lovely, very helpful and always making sure that we have what we need to enjoy the trip.
The break from the city was so refreshing. Our guide, Veronica, was very helpful and friendly. The views and fresh air were great.
this is really quite a spectacular trip. and definitely worth doing. we had a great time in Vic as well as Nuria. Plenty of time to have lunch and frolic on the pastures or go for a walk. Lovely way to spend a summers day.
amazing time, long bus ride to get there but well worth it. Lots of free time to explore on your own.
Truly memorable trip to the Pyrenees Mountains. Had an excellent guide Alex and we would be delighted to do another trip with this company.
The Tour was great. I wish we had more time in each place we visited but that is beside the point. The guide was great and everything went smoothly. I highly recommend.
Phillipo was an amazing guide, knowledgeable and very personable. He took us to his 'special' places ie Vic and Queralbs and even turned on a huge hail storm high in the Pyrenees whilst the temperature down lower remained at around 38degrees. A fantastic day, highly recommended and definitely the highlight of our 37 days of travel! Bev and Veen, Auckland,New Zealand.

Wonderful trip. Feliciano was an amazing wealth of information. He was truly impressive. The city of Vic was beautiful as well as the village of Quebels. Getting caught on the mountain in a torrential rain and hail storm only adds to the great vacation stories!
Our guide was David. He tried to introduce us some of the places we pass by. He was very helpful. We had a guided walk through Vic. It was a nice town wished we could have more time to explore. The area around Vall de Nuria was serene. Glad we brought lunch so that we could have more time taking the short walking trails. Especially enjoyed the walk around the beautiful village, Queralbs. Drive was nothing spectacular though.
great day trip with a small group and a great English speaking guide. I did not expect the beauty that was going to see. Spring was an amazing time to visit this location, so green and lush, water running, sun shining and not too hot. Food available on top of the mountain but we got a picnic as it was a nice day, beer and wine available there too. We wish we knew you could stay up on top of the mountain's hotel as it was relatively affordable and the extended walks would have been nice to do.
The only way to go. Smaller groups makes for more time in each place! Incredible!
The excursion to the Pyrenees was fabulous! We enjoyed the small bus/van and our guide Robert was knowledgable and fun. So great to see a different perspective of Catalunya. The great outdoors was just a short ride away from Barcelona but a world apart. The mountains, stone village and horses of the mountains combined with the medieval village of Vic with an ancient Roman ruin made for a wonderful day. We ended with a brief visit to a pub for the locals and felt part of it all. Thank you!
