It was an enjoyable day in the mountains, but not as advertised. I was only informed at the time of departure that the track train was not running, so the only available recreational option was a steep hike.

We signed up for a trip to the Pyrenees in a minivan for six people. Two more people were added at the last minute, which meant that all of us were very crowded and uncomfortable for our 11-hour trip. Our guide was very good and did the best he could under difficult circumstances, but it was impossible to hear him with so many people crammed into the van.
We stopped at Vic for over two hours - far too long. A rest stop for 15 to 30 minutes would have been OK, but we weren't interested in seeing the city - we wanted to see the mountains. We had lunch at Nuria, where there were no menus in English and no waiters who spoke English. It took us so long to order, be served, and eat that we didn't have time to take the gondola into the mountains or to walk around the lake. It would have helped us if our guide had stayed with us long enough to help us order. We were very disappointed with the small amount of time we were able to spend sightseeing out of the 11 hours we spent on the trip.
