We had some high expectations of this trip into the Pyrenees and it did not disappoint.
The guides were excellent and the transport was comfortable and spacious with only 4 people plus the guide in each van.
The guides had good english and were knowledgeable on the history of the Catalan region, especially on our stop in Vic.
We would highly recommend this tour.

Long day, but worth while the mountains are lovely, my advise to anyone is that it is freezing there, even on a warm day in Barcelona, rug up. The driver on the way back was in a terrible hurry and drove like a maniac through the winding roads, most upleasant journey there and back, a couple of peope got sick and this was just due to his driving! could have made that part much better if he just was more considerate, tour guide was great, driver shocking!

Excellent to a fault. Alex my guide was the best. I had any injury to my ankle at the time and he was very caring and supportive. Also had him for the Monserrat Tour. A truly excellent Guide. Top Marks

The tour was great. Alejandro, the guide, was punctual, extremely knowledgeable, and kept a perfect balance of guided touring and hands-off exploration. In addition to a beautiful hike in the Pyrenees, we visited historic Catalan landmarks, an open-air market, and a beautiful mountain village. Beautiful scenery augmented by Alejandro's thorough knowledge of Catalan and Spanish history. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

We had a slightly late start and a little less than enthusiastic guide to begin with. But we soon got into it and being a small group (just one other couple) made all the difference.

I loved the little villages and markets we visited along the way but by far the cake (with the cherry on top) goes to the most fabulous landscape, secluded walking trails and mountain springs and waterfalls that make up the Pyrenees.

I would highly recommend doing this on the second day of your Barcelona visit - do a bike/city-bus tour on day one and finish on the beach with a jar of sangria. Doing this wonderful mountain trek the next day really takes the edge off the noise and hubbub of the city from the day before and you certainly wouldn't want to follow it with anything too busy after.

The markets we visited along the way had the most wonderful fresh produce and deli (we washed the fruit under a mountain waterfall in freezing cold yet the freshest and cleanest water I've ever seen).

On the way back we stopped off at an 1100 year old church at the heart of a beautifully quaint little mountain village.

The whole thing for me was probably one of the best excursions I've ever had, and really well worth the money.

LOVED this trip!! My husband and I really enjoyed hiking the trail and checking out the magnificent views! Even though it rained a little bit (bring your small umbrella), it couldn't dampen our moods. This place was just too beautiful. The gift shop has rain ponchos and umbrellas at a reasonable price just in case you forget. You can also take a row boat on the water, ride ponies, or take archery lessons. Truly enjoyed this trip.

An interesting day trip with a worthwhile glimpse into the Pyrenees mountains and the towns on the way. A very good guide who kept us engaged although I would rather she looked at the road than turning to face us ! Very enjoyable.

Actually this trip was cancelled and we were booked on the Dali trip. I am so glad it worked out that way! The Dali museum is awesome and well worth seeing. Also the trip along the coast to Cadacez was gorgeous. I suggest that maybe the tour pre-order lunch at a set place though since we barely had time to eat once we chose a place. I would also not give the tourists an option of going to Dali's home. I would MAKE them go! It is fantastic and I think some people would not realize how cool it is and opt out. It is not to be missed on this trip and the light house is a dont miss as well. The views are incredible. Our guide Katrina was fabulous!! we loved her and our whole van. This was my favorite day trip!!

Karina was a great tour guide, and everything went smoothly for our day going up into the Pyrenees. We have done all our other adventuring around Barcelona on our own, but we never could have done this without a tour. The historic sites along the way were very interesting and fun. It was COLD when we got to our destination, but very beautiful and scenic. We're really glad we added this "out of the city" day to our Barcelona itinerary.

Very beautiful! God's creation is really awesome, the mountains were covered by snow and picturesque like the snowy scene on Christmas cards.
Later we had coffee in a very cosy shop a little down the mountain, lovely.
Tks Adrian from Explore Catalunya for your professional guidance and we really enjoy trip with your company. Thanks again

It was a great place to get out of the city. Our guide Ed was more than perfect. We started by riding the minivan to one of the old villages, which was nice. Then we headed to the mountains.. took the train up the mountain, then the cable car. And then you arrive in heaven it was one of the best moments of my life. Truly amazing scenery, very quiet i wanted to stay their forever. I recommend this trip to everyone.

We had a wonderful day with Adrien! Even the rain and snow just added to the experience. Just wish we'd gotten a sandwich at the little cafe in the marketplace instead of wasting money eating at the cafeteria up on the mountain. Tour was well worth it. Thanks again Adrien.
