Amazingly, this tour turned out to be a great success thanks to one of the employees of Barcelona Guide Out Travel. We reached our meeting place for the tour only to find that our tour guide had called in sick and that our tour had been canceled. (We were the only ticket holders who could not be reached by cell phone in Barcelona). An amazing young employee named Olga Gonzalez, however, saved the day by getting tickets to the Palau de la Musica for us -- an amazing sight and a great tour. And then, because she could not secure tickets to the Picasso Museum without accompanying us, walked us to the Picasso Museum, which we probably could not have found by ourselves. She is a delightful young lady, friendly, helpful, and kind, and we appreciated her help so much. We would appreciate your commending her for us. The C.E.O. of Barcelona Guide Out is Robert Craig. Please notify him of our gratitude.
Couldn't have better. Our guide, Nil, was charming, well informed and went to great lengths to provide us the best tour we had on the entire trip. Barcelona is a wonderful city, and he really made it come alive for us.
I took the tour on 10/5. Can't remember the name of the tour guide but he was a young Catalan and he was great. Very knowledgeable and nice. He took us to some interesting sights. We would have liked to tip him but the tour was so pricey (like $115USD pp and we were 4 of us) that we felt like we already paid too much.
The visit to the Palau de la Musica was the highlight of this tour. Our young female Spanish guide was excellent and described the features with great enthusiasm and knowledge.
our guide was very nice and she took her time allow us to walk around the museum. She answered all of our question and when she didn't know an answer she was honest and said Ill have to find out. There must be better direction to get there from the metro.
What a treat. The Palau de la Musica is an architectural marvel. The guide there was outstanding. Our guide for the walking tour, Nil, was extraordinary. He gave us a marvelous walking tour of the Gothic Quarter and was very attentive to our interests. Highly recommend.
Excellent, excellent, excellent. Well worth the money honey! Brilliant architecture, commentary and pace of tour. Our guide was sensitive to the mobility needs of her group and knowledgeable in her anecdotes that personalised this Catalan experience. Picasso was a genius, Gaudi was a genius and our guide IS a genius!!! Thank you Viator.
Neil our guide was knowledgeable, passionate and enthuisastic. The Palau de la Musica is a must see and if an opportunity arises book in to attend a concert there, I can only imagine what it would sound like.
Excellent tour! Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful! Might recommend they add in the cost of Gaudi's Casa Batllo in the ticket prices.
If you want to learn some history of Barcelona and don't mind walking, then this is an awesome tour. It included things I wanted to do anyway and our guide, Gloria, was so knowledgeable about the city and made it much more fun than if I just walked around to each place.
Great walking tour with Gloria! She was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and a real treat to learn about Barcelona and it's heritage!
We chose to see the inside of Palau de la Musica as well. The whole experience of seeing Palau at the start and ending up in Gaud's Casa Batllo was just a delight for all my senses. Although I am not a great fan of Picasso, since we were there, we might as well see the display of his art. Our guide, Julia was very cheerful and friendly, very helpful in introducing us to a v. good restaurant nearby for lunch, before we ended our tour with the visit to Gaudi's great architectural piece of art. I would highly recommend this tour!
The Palau de la Musica upgrade was worth it. The inside of the building is beautiful, and we even got to hear a mini concert. Our guide, Nil, got us tickets to go inside Casa Batlló as soon as we got there (we paid for these tickets). We walked right in and did not have to wait in any lines. That alone was worth the price of the tour! Our only suggestion would be to provide or suggest the audio tour for the Picasso Museum. We had an hour at that museum, and it would have been a much better experience if we had information and context provided by the audio guide.
