This was one of the best things I have ever done. The chef was great fun and I learnt so much about Catelonian and Spanish food. It was a fabulous day. I highly recommend doing the market tour as well. If you appreciate food, good company and exploring new cultures, you will love this. A great day, really well organised and lovely premises.
I stayed in Barcelona for 5 days, I had so much fun in Barcelona.
If I have to choose the most memorable moment, I would defo. say "the cooking class".
I joined the cooking class with market tour. I was impressed, because the chef, she explained everything clearly. The foods that the market sells are very fresh, it was a great experience to see the local market.
Also, the cooking class was sosososo great, I really learned the good stuff from the class.
For the foods, it couldn't be better!! I tried many meals in Barcelona, the one that I tried was the best meal I had in Spain!! I can't express it with my limited English.
A picture is worth a thousand words!!
We had a small group of 4 people, plus the instructor MariJo. She was wonderful. We went to La Boqueria market and she was very knowledgeable about the area and the products, and she knew her vendors well. The experience in the kitchen was also fabulous and a great memory of Barcelona. We learned how to make roasted vegetables with a sauce, soup with cod, seafood paella and crema catalonia. Everything was delicious and she did a great job in really showing how to do every steps and answering all our questions. The wine was also fantastic! I would highly recommend and I would do the same class again (to learn different dishes). Muy sabroso!
Totally enjoyed it. So much funand Maria was a great chef. Highly recommended it
We really enjoyed both the market tour and the cooking class. Maria was a engaging personality and added a tremendous amount of insight and flair to the day.
The food was excellent and we have used two of the recipes already.
WOW! This was great. We visited the exciting market place prior to our hands on cooking class. Quim (Kim) our chef was passionate about food and we all took part in the preparation. Quim was a terrific character and we worked in a professional training kitchen. We all enjoyed a laugh, excellent food and wonderful wines. I would certainly do this class again.
If you want a small hands on experience cooking we would say try this one. 8 people all English speaking (and 50/50 men and women). Prepared a Gaspacho, Seafood Paella and Creme Catalune. Lots of fun, work, wine. We then got to eat all of it.
Worth the experience to learn about spanish food and spices... Remember there is never enough olive oil or garlic in the food
A great way to experience the Catalan culture!
This class was a blast. Learned a lot and met some great people. All the recipes were great and they turned out great. I would recommend this cooking class to everyone even if you aren't a cook. The meal we created was the best we had during our entire stay in Barcelona.
Great way to experience the market and learn about the food you are eating. The kitchen was clean and well laid out, with an option to participate in the cooking or sit back and relax. The chef was friendly and informative with a great sense of humour. There was lots of great food to eat and we weren't rushed.
My grandson age 11 and I had a great time with chef Kim. The crew was professional, the tour to the market was so much fun and added a special flair to the exceptional cooking as well as the delicious food. Hightly recommend this experience.
This was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed going back to La Boqueria for a good look at the shopping center, adn the actual class cooking. It was great and I learned a lot
