The tour was very well organized. It was definitely worth the drive and the guide was knowledgeable making the experience very pleasant. The pace of the tour was well thought through and we had time for a good lunch and self time for walk around basalu and rupit. The tour guide who was also the driver for the coach was safe and had a pleasant personality. A highly recommended tour.
It was a nice trip outside of Barcelona (nice to spend a day away from all the tourists), and we're glad Viator offered such a tour. We enjoyed a small group setting - easy to get on and off the van and to get to know your guide and fellow travellers. We were a group of 7 (8 including the driver/guide), and our driver/guide was Enrique who had a sense of humour and showed a lot of pride in Catalunya. He's an excellent driver and made sure we were comfortable in the van. He gave us ample time to explore each medieval village (Besalu and Rupit) after he took us on a guided tour into the centre of each village. He was always able to answer any questions we had about Spain, the places we visited on this tour, and about Barcelona and its sights. He was also very considerate - when he discovered I had knee problems, he walked slower so I could catch up and gave me tips on how to get around the winding and uneven surfaces of the villages without hurting myself. He took us to mountain-tops so we can get excellent views of Rupit, and the "mirador" panoramic area of Tavertet so we can see the steep cliffs. The drive throughout was very scenic, and although it rained for most of the day, the entire excursion was very enjoyable.
We loved the small group tour going into the small towns . The scenery on the drive between the towns was absolutely beautiful. Our guide, Anna, was friendly and informative.
This was an excellent trip. Our guide Nico was very good. I liked the idea of going to Tavertet. A small village but very interesting specially the trip there and foremost not crowded with tourists, we were the only ones.
I would recommend this tour with Nico to anybody.
Very enjoyable small group tour. Our driver/guide had a wealth of information about his subject. If any downside it was that we didn't understand the amount of driving involved - but that was our fault. Really enjoyed the day though.
I can't say enough about how wonderful Feliciano was and how this tour maybe the highlight of our trip! Highly recommend! Even 14 and 19 year old teens loved! Feliciano is so knowledgable about the history of all! Villages just were like from a fairy tale !
It is difficult to explain just how spectacular this trip was. The tour group I travelled with is an exceptional outfit, offering only small groups - no enormous buses - and the day felt like a day out with a group of friends. The villages are quite gorgeous, each one more gorgeous than the last. Our guide, Fabian, is a polyglot and very knowledgeable about the social and political history of the towns, and helped make the day the success it was. I hopefully do it again someday.
A great company to work with our inquires were answered quickly. This tour was a great step back in time. These are villages are active today as they were centuries ago. Our tour guide was Fabian who was wonderful. He was a wealth of information on the history of what we were seeing and able to answer our questions and give suggestions on how to maneuver our free time in the area. If you are having reservations about making a reservation before you arrive - Don't this was a great experience.
I highly recommend this tour, it was a great experience and a nice break from the big city of Barcelona. First of all, the places we visited were all beautiful, interesting and different in architecture and style. The guide was of the best one could have, sharing knowledge and answering our questions and we also had the right amount of free time in each place.
The restaurant we had a 3 course lunch and plenty of wine was excellent and low priced for what it offered. The landscape was amazing and the mini bus was perfect to drive through roads and landscapes we wouldn't be able to see otherwise using a bigger bus.
We were 7 people that day, plus the guide, and it was like a trip and hanging out with friends. Very pleasant and enjoyable and although we did many things and visited many places, it was at a leisurely pace.

This was an amazing tour. Must see for any visitor to Barcelona. This tour takes you through an amazing picture perfect landscape. Would certainly recommend. With regards to my experience I found even the local tour operator was very helpful. Guide too was having sound knowledge and answered our various questions.
this was great a must see. The guide was one of the best you could have. the views the villages were out of this world plus the 2nd village where we had lunch was very enjoyable. When you have wine they open a bottle on the table and you can have want you like.
This was the best tour I've been on so far! The villages were great and our guide Nick was knowledgeable and willing to tailor stopping for some great pictures of the Pyrenees mountain views! Small group touring is really the way to go! The towns were not packed with other tourists while we were there, so it was really great. Wonderful guide too!
A terrific trip! Our guide, Feliciano, was knowledgeable about the towns we visited but could also chat about Spanish history, culture and pilotics -- a pleasure to spend the day with him. We heard about Catalan history on the drive out, and the small group made it possible to ask questions and have a relaxed conversation. . The mix of guided tour and free time was just right. As for the scenery, it was spectacular. This outing was one of the highlights of our vacation, well worth the money.
