Lot's of fun and a very educational approach to Spanish wine. The guide was good at explaining where the wines came from, but the best part was the use of various scents to help us pick up various qualities about the wines in the smell and the taste. Great session for new to intermediate wine enthusiasts.
I was the only person booked in for this which made it even better. I learnt a great deal about Spanish wine and enjoyed sampling a few. Great way to finish a day in Barcelona
We were taken aback when we arrived at this very small wine store. We were expecting a traditional-type wine tasting, but we were the only couple there. But it turned out to be a blast! The sommelier was so friendly and knowledgable. We ended up buying 2 bottles of wine. Be sure to check out the restrooms.
The wine tasting was fun, informative, and of course delicious. It was well organized and easy, and everyone in our group was very happy.
Brilliant, fab food and some incredibly old wines. the venue was outstanding
This was our first wine tasting experience and was a great start to our Barcelona trip. Environment is great! A few of our party really dont like red wine so the lady kindly let then try some different whites. Would recommend for a quick wine tasting tour.
the spanish wine tasting was very good, are host was very pleasant and knows what she is talking about when it comes to wine!!!
the 3 wines we tasted were very good. as were the snacks, met some intresting and friendly people on this wine tasting , would defiinitely recommend this tour if you like your wine
My wife and I were the only two at the tasting. Had an outstanding opportunity to learn about Spanish wines. The shop was perfect and quaint. One of the nicest boutique wine stores in all of Barcelona. The tasting was very well presented. A great combination of both light food and fine wine.Very comfortable environment. Educational and relaxing. Perfect for both the connoisseur and the novice. Well worth the price.
The wine guide was AMAZING. She explained in depth about the grapes, smells and colors of the local wines! She also showed us proper etiquette on how to open your wine bottles and how to allow them to breath! A must do, then once you leave check out the sushi place just down the alley!
This wine tasting far exceeded our expectations. Our hostess was knowledgeable, interesting and taught us a lot about Spanish Wine. Whether you are a expert or beginner of wine tasting you will enjoy this!!! The setting was delightful. We went back a second time with our friends........... Need I say more.
Even though it was just me and my Mum one this tasting (the men were at the football!) our lovely guide still made it a great experience, really informative, friendly and relaxed. We both learnt so much, and the wine particularly the red, was all delicious! Great little snacks too, all in all a really enjoyable way to spend an evening. Tip: Get there a little early, we walked past it twice its so tucked away!
Very good wines, proprietor was very helpful and informational. The location is a bit difficult to find.
A great way of spending a few hours in Barcelona. Presenter very knowledgeable and tasting informative. Highly recommended
My husband and I were the only two and we had a fun and informative session.
I booked this 'tour' as we wanted something special vto do on our last night in Barcelona. We had a friend come over from the UK to visit, and we rang up to check if it wasw possible to have him added to the list for the evening, after recieving a return phone call and finding out could add our friend it was turned into a very good night, I would highly reconmend this activity to any person who has a passing interest in wine. All the people involved were friendly and easy to talk with.
Fantastic intro to spanish wine tasting! Pa La Dar d'Estruc vinoteca is right on Placa Catalunya. Its located down the alley street of d'Estruc so you do have to go straight to its address. They have a great selection of wines set in lovely little studio that also highlights art. Our guide was Shadia who was very lovely and friendly. We did this wine tasting on our very first night we arrived in Barcelona and it was the perfect way to kick off our trip! Highly recommend!
Great sommelier with command of both English and Spanish language. He gave us tips on restaurants after the wine tasting. If you have the time to visit the vineyards, you are better off doing that, but if pinched for time like we were...then this tour is quite nice as it is right in the center of Barcelona near the Boqueria.
This was a great wine tasting experience, I have done a few and this was the best. The accompanying snacks to taste with the wine worked well and I particularly liked the variety of wines with interesting back-stories. The Sommelier was great- friendly, funny and informative. The setting, in the St Morritz Brewery, was fab- worth a visit in itself! Definitely recommend!
This tour was very fun for us. Our guide was very knowledgeable and didn't seem to mind our wine ignorance. He even showed us the way to a recommended restaurant. Very pleasant experience.
We really enjoyed tasting the different wines. This was such a cool restaurant and wine bar! Our host was very knowledgeable and we liked tasting some different cheeses.
I was the only one on this tasting and it was very good. The wines offered were varied and expensive. It would have been nice to have others there to compare opinions. On the other hand, I was at the end of the season and I was treated well. I would recommend this tour.
