This was the a great tour. Felipo our tour guide, made it fun and informative. The food and shopping in Andorra was fabulous. Highly recommend it.
We enjoyed the journey through the countryside of France and Spain. The breakfast stop in France was in such a quaint local café and we enjoyed awesome croissants that had been freshly baked! We had lots of time to shop and eat in Andorra. The bargain prices offered in town were worth taking advantage of. Our tour guide was easy to interact with and took us on the scenic route home through beautiful scenery. The historical town we visited gave us a wonderful opportunity to enjoy local culture! Thanks for a terrific day!
The opportunity to visit 3 countries in a day was tempting and so I took up this trip. And i am glad i did! our guide was just too good and he was much more than a guide. the trip was fantastic.I enjoyed baga the most and the bakery items we had there. andorra was more a shopping haven while mont louis was not bad either. One of my best trips!!
Niko is the best! If u like Old Rock, u will hav a blast! Very informative and knowledgable! Highly eecommend this tour! Long, but sooo worth it!!
A fantastic tour. There were only 6 of us plus our guide Gordy who was informative and easy going. It is a long day travelling however due to the relaxed pace ... a cuppa in Baga, a quaint little village. Morning tea in Mont Louis (there was a farmers market in the town and we also purchased some lovely dried fruits and nuts to munch on the way) and lunch and shopping in Andorra it was a great way to see what life is like away from Barcelona. There was some snow on the mountain peaks even though the temperature was 35'. We would totally recommend this tour. Peter and Karen.
A superb tour, made all the more so by having an exceptional guide called Lydia. Whilst the trip was interesting, lovely scenery and seeing Andorra wedged in-between two mountain ranges was very unique, Lydia really made the difference. Her excellent knowledge not only of Spain but Europe in general plus her enthusiastic approach was most enlightening. We learn the origin of the name Barcelona, about Catalonia, and about Europe from BC to present. We enjoyed a fresh and tasty croissant at her favourite 1st stopping place on route to France, thereafter enjoying the scenery to a little village called Baga in Spain. Then to France to the walled town of Mont-Louis and then Andorra. Prices we did not find much cheaper in the electronic goods (iPad, cellular phone) but enjoyed the scenery and the town. Had a very good lunch here. The trip back was again very informative from Lydia. A special thanks to Lydia to making this a most memorable tour.
The trip was great but the guide was even better. Jordi did a great job of guiding us thru the tour, taking his time and allowing us to proceed at our own pace. The stops were charming; Baga and Mont Luis were quaint little towns and Andorra views were just amazing. The trip was long but the countryside views made the trip enjoyable.
This tour is a fantastic whirlwind romp through three different towns/cities in three different countries. You visit the charming little village of Baga in Catalunia, then over the border to Mont-Louis, France to a medieval walled city, and then to Andorra la Vella, the capital of the tiny mountain top country of Andorra in the Pyrenees. While in Andorra, you are given the chance to spend time in either the mountains around a lake or down in the capital to eat/shop/etc. The guide (Fabian) actually made it possible for us to spend about equal time in both, which was very nice. This tour is 12 hours round trip, and obviously there is a lot of ground to cover in a short period of time. There isn't always a long time to spend in the towns, but then again, they are small and you do get some time to walk around on your own and take pics. Our tour had 5 travelers total, so it was a nice intimate group. I can't say enough about Fabian, the guide. He is very informative, very friendly, very attentive, and just could not have done a better job. He really makes the trip fun and informative. Without him, it might have been a far less rewarding trip. I highly recommend this excursion. It is a chance to see some places that are a bit off the traditional tourist map, and though at high speed, is a very nice and enjoyable tour.
Lovely wonderful! The mix of mont Louis's serenity and crazy shopping in Andorra was fabulous. I also liked the mini stop in Baga!
A wonderful guide and a FULL day of facts and traveling. Our meeting place was a little tricky, but thanks to the GPS in the taxi we found it. It is a very full day of traveling to France, over to Andorra and back to Barcelona. The information and history about the area was great, and the guide drive did an excellent job of navigating the small cities, two of which had special events that detoured us of the normal route. Even with a small van/bus-the ancient city streets of many of these cities in the mountains were very narrow. Learned a lot about the area, history of Mount Louis and then on to Andorra. If you are a ski buff and or shopping person Andorra is the place for you. It is a country entirely set aside for duty free shopping and excellent skiing and winter sports, due to its precarious position in the bottom of a wonderful valley surrounded by very steep mountains. A lot of beautiful scenery, mountain vistas were gorgeous. The guide provided ample information about the back ground, history of the area, and enough time to allow for those interested in shopping and eating. A wee bit of a drive, but then again it is very upfront in the description. Great way to see 3 countries in one day!
Great trip with a very knowledgeable guide, not just on the destinations but on a lot of other information regarding Spain and what is current. Would recommend this trip.
My family and i went on this trip and we all really enjoyed it. Our tour guide was excellent and was very informant. I would Highly recommend this trip to anyone.
The tour was excellent and the guide very efficient .
In my opinion, lacked a little tour of Andorra La Vella.
Great guide, very interesting commentary. A lot of traveling but worth it. Andorra just a duty free haven. Booze very cheap! Baga a lovely little town as was Mont Louis. Met some interesting Americans on our tour. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
Our June Trip to Barcelona was incredible I would highly recommend the 3 countries in a day tour it was everything we expected. Beautiful scenery and views of the mountains. Our guide Niko was awesome! And Andorra shopping for electronics was superb! Have to go again one day.
