The tour was fabulous. My family wife, two children, mother and father in law and my mother all enjoyed a week in France. During our stay in France, we had the opportunity to book a half day tour with your company. The tour was more than what we expected. The tour guide I apologize for not remembering her name was extremely knowledgeable. She was able to answer all of our questions and provide us with an in depth history lesson from each place we visited. I highly recommend your company for future travelers touring through Normandy. Thank you for making our first trip to Normandy a memorable one.
Francois was exemplary! He is the best guide we've ever had. So knowledgeable and passionate. We enjoyed the small group, never felt rushed and learned so much. Wonderful experience!!
The Normandy half-day tour was one of our favorite experiences. The tour was so informative, interesting, and powerful. Mag was our guide and her personal stories and wealth of knowledge made the trip extremely special. I'd highly recommend this tour to friends and family.
Our tour guide was Sunny. She was very prompt, pleasant and so fun. She gave us so much information about the D-Day battle and more. We would recommend this tour.
Our tour guide Francais was passionate with the subject matter and spoke pretty good English. He worked very hard to make sure we understood, kind when asked to repeat. He answered all our questions to the best of his knowledge, which was immense. The half day tour worked very well for my tight timeline. We experienced the crater landscape between Utah and Omaha. Then traveled to Omaha Beach and finally the American Cemetery. Having only seven people made the event more personal and intimate. Francais let us stay a bit longer than expected to watch the lowering of the flags and performance of Taps, He felt since we were all American's it would be a memorable experience we would be glad to witness. It was. We all made it back to our drop off sites in plenty of time. For me it was the train station back to Paris. I highly recommend Viator if you want to see Normandy and have a short timeline. Take the half day tour, you won't regret it. Wear good walking shoes. As a 65 year old single woman traveler who is a bit overweight this worked well.
We had a wonderful afternoon with our tour guide Sunny. She was charming and full of interesting information.
Wonderfull city . Nice restaurants, very friendly people. English spoken in hotels and some restaurants. World war 2 sites a must. Half day excursion to Le Mont St. Michel very worthwhile
The tour was great. Romain was a brilliant guide. He made the afternoon very informative and interesting and it wouldn't have been the same visiting those places without him. We only had four people on the tour usually max. 8 which also made it great and much more personal. Would definitely recommend.
United States of America
The best tour we did. The driver/ tour guide was fabulous, gave quite a bit of information about Normandy, the battles, the cemetery, etc. I can't recommend this tour highly enough.
Great overview of the area that hit the highlights of the area for just the right amount of time. Our tour guide was fantastic, she had been raised in the area which gave her excellent local knowledge.
Francois was a very informative and entertaining tour guide. This is a tour our family will NEVER forget. Thank you for making it so memorable.
My husband, parents, preschooler, and I had a wonderful time on our tour with Romain. As luck would have it, the other two people scheduled for the tour cancelled at the last minute, so it was just the five of us. This came in handy when the three-year-old melted down halfway through, and we needed to take a small break to eat chips from the van at Omaha Beach. Three might be a little young for the tour. Romain, who spoke fluent English, gave much more detail about each of the sites we visited than we could have learned from the posted placards, and even told family stories from the German Occupation and Allied Liberation. At the end of the tour, he drove us back to Bayeux through narrow local roads that our rental-car GPS would never have found, which gave a much better idea of what terrain the Allies fought through in 1945 than the modern highways. We spent the rest of the evening talking about how happy we were to have taken the guided tour, rather than going to all of the sites on our own.
Our guide, Mag I believe, was wonderful. She was very knowledgable, took us to several places of interest, was very personable and the small group was perfect. It was easy to be picked up, and the trip itself was so interesting. It was nice that she was from the area so was able to give us backrground knowledge of the towns and how they were affected. This is the way to do the trip in a small, airconditioned van! The American Cemetary was very moving. Since my father had been at Utah beach and in the area, it was emotional for me and she made sure to ask if anyone had connections there. I would highly recommend this trip!
great experience Romeo was very informative and very friendly
Couldnt have booked a better tourguide!!!
Brilliant and very informative day!
I highly recommend this half-day tour of the Normandy Beaches. Our tour guide was very professional and knowledgeable concerning the D-Day invasion.
My family loved this tour. Our tour guide Kate was great. We especially enjoyed her personal stories as she grew up in Bayeux and her family lived through the war. We were all humbled by seeing this beautiful area and knowing what happened there.
Kate was wonderfully engaging. Her enthusiasm for the subject, born out of her personal family experience was very contagious. She was kind enough to pick us up and drop us off at the Bayeux train station, otherwise we could not have gone when we did. It also gave us the opportunity to experience the French rails as opposed to driving in a bus.
