Though we had 20 visibility when it came to appreciating the Great Wall, our guide Cynthia made the day's tour interesting and enjoyable. She provided excellent historical context for the Ming Dynasty Tombs, pacing the tour perfectly. She kept us well informed about Chinese cultural practices and the roots of the language during the bus travel between stops. Lunch was nice. The tea ceremony was delightful, too. This tour is worthwhile.
The Great Wall tour was very enjoyable and informative. Maria was an excellent and personably tour guide who provided good background and historically significant information. The tour ended in a fun and education stop at the Tea House where we got an education on tea choices, how to make a good cup of tea and also to enjoy tasting some well prepared teas.
The bus driver did a very skillful job in navigating safely and efficiently through the intense Beijing traffic.
Note--I would recommend the tour cost be modified to include the Great Wall tram fee since most people seem to prefer the use of the tram.
Great Tours and Great Tour Guide he went out of his way to make sure we saw everything. Great story teller.
Great tour. Mr Li is really knowledgeable, caring and understanding. The perfect tour guide you can get for your tours. He explains in detail about each place and even gives you tips and directions for other attractions. My Mom was not able to walk a lot but Mr Li made sure the tour group stays together and gave her enough time to catch up with all . Mr Li deserves a special thanks
This is a tour that everyone should take. The Great Wall has been on the Must See List of mine and my wife for many years. The Wall and the surroundings were simply amazing, however the our guide Jackie was the difference in just seeing something and understanding its reason for being. Jackie explained every detail concerning the wall and its construction, who had it constructed, and why, and its recent restorations.
The tour was excellent and I would highly recommend the tour and our friend Jackie to anyone especially if you have an interest in Chinese history. It is a fantastic site as Jackie would say of course it was made in China.
it was a very good experience, Michael was my tour guide and he was very kind and giving lots of information about the trip. thanks again.
The tour was amazing. We got to see the Great wall, Ming Tonb, jade and pearl factories and a tea ceremony. Everywhere we went people tried to sell us things but this happened all the time in China. Our guide spoke very good English and gave us good information at each stop.
Obviously a must see in China and the tour guide, Jackie, was awesome. He did a great job explaining the history of the Great Wall and Ming Tombs as well as introducing the Chinese culture to us. He was also great about taking pictures whenever possible.
Just as advertised. Bring some beverage and snacks for the ride, it's a long drive from town.
You need to be fairly fit to climb the section of the Great Wall that we visited. Our guide, Cynthia, was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable with her Chinese history. As well as the Great Wall and the Ming Tombs we also visited a Jade factory a chance to buy some genuine jade and a tea house. This was only a relatively small group 12 people which is a big plus. The tour was interesting and well worth going on.
GREAT EXPERIENCE ...GUIDE WAS SO INFORMATIVE
I FREQUENTLY USE VIATOR ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD
Guide Jackie was great. Thoroughly enjoyable trip. Highlight of my trip to China.
What can I say about Jackie Mama, he was the best guide I have ever come across with more than 30 odd viator tours under my belt. He had plenty of stats and jokes also considering English is not his first language.
Was motivated to deliver value and the tour itself was nothing shot of fabulous, recommend going to the steep part of the wall.
Tour was a very small group. The tour leader was great and very accommodating.
Tour guide was fantastic. Full of knowledge. It was a jam packed day but we were not rushed. Truly a memorable experience and highly recommended.
Fantastic day. Punctual, friendly and informative guide who took us to a quieter section of wall due to local holiday. Spectacular views particularly if you are prepared to climb higher up the steps! Also enjoyed the jade factory. No pressure to buy but very interesting talk and demonstration. Beautiful Ming tombs also well worth a visit.
United States of America
This was a small group. Our tour guide, Victoria Feng Feng, was well versed on the culture and history of this tour. She is extremely articulate, and at the same time, very sensitive about the needs of the people on the tour. BEST TOUR AND BEST TOUR GUIDE IN BEIJING,
Great day! There were only two of us on the tour so we were able to visit a different section of the Great Wall. It was a beautiful sunny day so we got lots of great photos. The Ming Tombs were also great! The only things I was not expecting was the almost tourist trap-type visits to the jade factory and tea shop. These were not educational visits, but rather store visits with a bit of demonstration and we were pressured a bit to buy their overpriced items. We had a great guide who was able to answer all of our questions. I would recommend this trip to anyone who would like to see the Great Wall but is a bit short on time in Beijing.
It started early at 7:00 a.m. and it was the last day of spring festival. No traffic, no people at the wall until later in the morning. Cherry, the tour guide was informative, kind and patient with me. My phone battery went dead so Cherry took pictures of me which I would like her to email to me. The Ming Tomb was great, the jade factory and the tea shop. I enjoyed the entire day. Couldn't have been nicer.
