When (at last) arriving at the Wall the site is very beautiful and peaceful, BUT 5 hours transportation each way is TO MUCH!
I would recommend using the subway out to the city limit and from there travel with bus.
Awesome Awesome tour. William our guide was fantastic. I was only in Beijing for two days and my only recommendation to people doing this tour is to plan on your calves being sore as this part of the wall has a lot less people but a lot more steps. Because of rain/drizzle safety issue to use then the toboggan was closed when we went the length and then came back where we started to access the cable car. My iPhone said I did the equivalent to 90 floors! Would not have missed this for the world though.
excellent, Jacky the tour guide was informative and fun - coach was comfortable and a great lunch supplied
would do this tour again without hesitation, thank you - best day of holiday!
Amazing tour. I arranged this tour on a short notice - less than 24 hours - and everything worked fine. The guide was very knowledgeable and nice. Great lunch. I really recommend.

Yes, it was well worth the amount of money I paid for the trip. The tour guide took us walking the whole section of the Mutianyu wall. Spent about 3 to 4 hours hiking and taking pictures of the wall. We also got to ride the toboggan down which was a highlight. They pick me up at my hotel and dropped me off after the tour.
Great trip to the great wall. Our tour guide, Maria was great too. We took the chair lift up and the tobagon ride down. We only had one day in Beijing and chose the Great Wall tour. We were not disappointed. Maria also recommended a dinner place, Dadong, to have Peking duck. It was yummy.
The tour was great. Our guide gave us good guidelines to follow once we were in the Great Wall which helped a lot maximise our time to see a great part of the Wall. Lunch was very good.
I really enjoyed my tour to the Great Wall. The tour guide was informative and pleasant. The lunch was tasty and plentiful. The only part I didn't care for was being taken to various shopping spots. After the information given about the product or the tea ceremony. ...I felt pressure to buy.
The wall is fantastic. The tour was excellent, very well organised and a very knowledgeable guide.
Jason is what really made this one of the most unforgettable tours ever!! He was so informative and just spectacular.
The tour gave us plenty of time at all the locations. I highly recommend this tour to an other.
The tour to Mutianyu was amazing. It was also nice to visit the jade factory and take a look at the amazing handmade sculptures. The icing on the cake was the tea tasting to finish the tour. We learn a lot of things.
Jacky was a very entertaining guide and gave us a lot of tips during the visit. I wish there could be more guides like him. I would definitely recommend that tour to everyone.
This tour was a lot of fun and made it effortless to see everything described on the itinerary. The Mutianyu section was empty when we arrived (many people showed up at around 11 when we were on our way to the exit). It was beautiful viewing the autumn scenery and the tobaggan slide was great!
The tour was absolutely amazing and everything that I hoped for!
Make sure you ride the lift up and then the tobagan down the slopes!
We went to a pearl market, then hit the great wall for about 2 hours, then had lunch, and went to some tea place afterwards.
The tour guide "Jackie" was entertaining and we enjoyed every minute at the Great Wall.
This is an amazing tour and an amazing tour guide, he is a true guide, allows the group to explore on their own and plenty of time to see and do it all. He is funny, informative and truly the perfect person for this tour. I highly recommend taking this tour. Amazing!
A great fun day out. We had a beautiful sunny day with clear visibility. This part of the wall is further out from the city so not as crowded as other areas. There was plenty of room and it was easy to get great photos.
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour and our tour guide Jason was excellent! We totally lucked out and were only 4 pax on the tour so felt very private. He gave lots of great information on Beijing and the history on the drive to the Great Wall and assisted us all the way to the cable car. To maximize your time on the GW, I'd highly recommend the cable car but the toboggan wasn't open as it was raining slightly. Still made the most of the two hours we had on the GW then enjoyed a delicious feast at the Cloisonné Factory which was great. The tea house experience is a huge part of the Chinese culture and very informative. Very well organized and professional all the way!
Great tour. Crowds were non-existent! We chose this as it's meant to be less crowded than Badaling, and we counted only 15 or 20 other people on the wall over an hour period. Cloisonné factory is fascinating, and the tea ceremony is excellent too! Guide very entertaining.
