Great trip and great guide great value.Excellent chinese style lunch as well.Well worth doing the gondola as there is still a few steps and you can do as much of the wall as you want

Excellent guide Thomas and truly memorable day. We went early and had this part of the wall to ourselves - glorious! We did the most strenuous climb; often up a 45 degree angle of steep steps. I felt so grateful we took it easy and weather was good with no wet steps. Views were tremendous- worth every aching muscle the next day!

We were very fortunate because our group tour turned out to be a private tour (we were the only two people scheduled for that day). The tour guide was excellent and he helped us plan our itinerary for the rest of our stay in Beijing. The Great Wall was amazing and the Chinese lunch was delicious. We were very pleased with the experience!

I ended up being the only person on this tour. My guide / driver Thomas was SUPERB. He was on time, friendly, flexible, and knowledgeable. This section of the wall was scenic and uncrowded. You take a chair lift up, and take a luge down (optional - it was a blast) Lunch was delicious, the tea ceremony tolerable, and the drive-byes of the Olympic stadium / cube / etc interesting. A big thumbs up!

This was the highlight of our time in Beijing. I would recommend this part of the wall to anyone as it is a lot quieter. It is however, very steep in parts and my legs were shaking for a long time afterwards|!!!! However, it is an experience not to be missed and the views were amazing, helped of course by near perfect weather!! A great day out , the guide, Jason was very informative and when we requested to be taken back via the Birds Nest Stadium he didn't hesitate to oblige. A great day's tour.

This side of great wall were more challenging then the Badailing side. And it has the cable car to the entrance of the great wall and the sliding car all way down back.

My tour was great. The wall was not as crowded as the wall at Badaling. Make sure you take the tobaggan ride down. Very exciting!

I ended up getting a personal tour since no one else signed up. My tour guides, Cherry and Gail, were super helpful, friendly and spoke great English - not to mention took a million photos and made the day fun. We got to the wall early so we practically had it to ourselves, which was beautiful. The tour of the cloisonné factory was nothing special, but was quick and provided great handmade gift opportunities. The lunch was delicious (no scary mystery meat), and though the tea ceremony was also an attempt to sell you things, it was interesting (and again, provided great gift opportunities). Highly recommend this tour, especially if Cherry or Gail are your guides. Plus, we were done by 3pm so I still had time that day to continue exploring.

superb day, fantastic guide an extremely personalised tour. If you only go to the wall once pick this tour, it's less crowded and the scenery is stunning.

Our tour was originally scheduled for a Saturday, but when we got to Beijing the weather was supposed to be bad so I called the company and they had no problem changing our tour to Friday. Our guide called us the night before and my boyfriend and I were the only two on the tour so we just went in a Sedan. Our guide was a younger guy and very friendly and talkative. When we got to the Great Wall we were the only people initially, which was nice, but it was also the coldest day of our trip. My boyfriend's expensive camera worked fine, but my video and still camera would not work at the top of the wall. It was fine on the lower parts. The rest of the day was very setup, which is to be expected! We went to the Closione factory and it was eye opening to see the working conditions. Our lunch was very good and we were the only two there so they sat use right by the heater, which didn't work so well. Our last stop was at Dr. Tea, which is a government run tea house in the cultural square by the Olympic Park. I had read some reviews that said they diagnose everyone with an illness to encourage you to buy something. This was not our experience. Our girl showed us how they make the tea and we tried four different types then we were free to buy or not buy. Our day ended around 2:30pm.
