Ghent and Bruges are beautiful. Our tour guide was a little dry, but he gave us some interesting information. Time in both places to walk around and take pictures. Definitely walk over St. Michael's bridge while you're in Ghent for picturesque views.
It was an enjoyable tour. Travelled on my own but met a lot of fellow travellers there. It was rainy and wet during our tour but we still enjoyed it. I just wish we got to do the boat tour in Bruges but our tour guide said the weather was not good, but then I saw the queue was so long and I think that's the reason why he didn't suggest it because our time is limited.
This was an excellent trip, especially for someone traveling alone wanting to spend a little time in areas outside of Brussels.
Just amazing! Well planned, well managed and the tour guide was superb! I would say only one thing 'without visiting Ghent and Bruges, your Belgium trip is not completed! Cheers all.
Excellent trip. Much more than I expected. We visited Ghent and Bruges. The guide was very interesting and informative and the pace was excellent. We returned late and they dropped everyone off as close to their hotels as possible, Well worth it!
This was an amazing day trip, loved it. The only down fall was the guide. He didnt even introduce himself and all he did was smoke every five minutes. He was very knowledable but was certainly just going through the motions.
Having been picked up from my hotel in the city, we started out on the bus trip to Ghent. The commentary is a mix of live commentary by the guide - in English, Spanish and French, and prerecorded commentary on headphones - in 8 languages. The guide was knowledgeable and approachable. The trip to Ghent takes about an hour. Ghent is a quaint little town with a number of churches and a square. The main church has the famous Ghent altar piece of the Lamb, worth seeing. Unfortunately there is only an hour to see the town, but better things await the visitor in Bruges. Bruges is delightful. Green grass, swans, canals, bridges, beautiful craft shops, waffles, pralines, marzipan, chocolates, beer, churches, The street scenes are as though from a painting, this town is probably my favourite in Europe. After the boat trip (well worth it!), we returned to the bus for the long trip back to Brussels. An excellent day out, better than staying in Brussels city itself!
I loved Ghent and Bruge, the tour guide was a little on the mono tone side but the place made up for it... I loved bruge, amazing.... oh and please do the boat tour its worth it, cost 6.90 EURO. worth the price....
Amazing, Fantastic day out, take the boat cruise in bruges. The guide was fantastic and funny. The church was a sight in bruges.Very nice chap, forgot his name,.We went on the 29th Oct sat morning.
Awesome tour package. Very courteous staff, well-organized and informative. Well-worth the price. Had a great time.
Two of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life. Quaint is the best word for each of these cities. Well worth the trip!
