Day 1: Berlin
When you arrive at your hotel in Berlin, meet your professional guide and get acquainted with your tour group. Spend the evening at your leisure, preparing for your trip or venturing into the city on your own.

Day 2: Berlin (B)
After an early-morning buffet breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide in the lobby for an extensive city tour of Germany’s capital. Hop aboard the comfortable coach for a view of the city’s top sights with your group. As you pass historical points of interest such as the Berlin Victory Column, Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate and the parliament’s Reichstag building, your guide will provide commentary on each landmark.
See what remains of the Berlin Wall as well as the war-damaged spire of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. You’ll pass the German president’s official residence – Bellevue Palace (Schloss Bellevue) – and Berliner Dom (Berlin Cathedral) on Unter den Linden, a charming tree-lined pedestrian avenue that crosses the Spree river.
In the afternoon, explore the fascinating city in your spare time; your guide will offer recommendations on what to see. Discover Berlin’s best museums and art galleries, or go on a shopping excursion to the numerous boutiques and stores like KaDeWe (Kaufhaus des Westens) – Europe’s second largest department store.
Or, if you prefer, embark on an optional 1- to 1.5-hour riverboat trip (own expense) for memorable views of Berlin from the Spree.

Day 3: Berlin – Hamburg (B)
After breakfast at your hotel, head north to Hamburg for a coach tour of the top sites in this amazing port city. At the entrance to St Michälis Church, see the bronze statue of the archangel Michael. In the HafenCity quarter, admire the remarkable brick buildings of the Speicherstadt, a warehouse district transformed into offices, hotels, shops and residential buildings.
In St Pauli quarter, located on the Elbe’s north bank, watch the boats come in at Landungsbrücken (Landing Bridges). Then, learn more about Germany’s largest port and view the city from the water on a 1-hour harbor cruise. You’ll ferry past Köhlbrand Bridge, the Blohm and Voss shipyards, HafenCity and the picturesque warehouses along the way.
Your guide will offer recommendations for you to enjoy your evening at your leisure, such as a walk along the Reeperbahn – a famous street that's central to Hamburg’s nightlife, including the red light district once frequented by sailors.

Day 4: Hamburg – Hamelin (B, D)
After breakfast, depart for the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, a seafaring town situated on the river Weser. With your group, embark on a guided walking tour and admire the cathedral, city hall and the statue of Roland, which stands tall with sword and shield in the market square (Rathausplatz).
Discover the Town Musicians of Bremen, (Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten), a bronze statue of four animals from the fairytale by the Brothers Grimm; legend has it that your wish will come true if you rub the donkey’s hooves! Then, take a stroll through Bremen’s oldest neighborhood, the Schnoor quarter, where old-world houses dating back to the 15th through 18th centuries line the narrow cobblestone streets.
Back aboard the coach, see the sites of stories by Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm, as well as where the brothers lived and worked, as you depart from Bremen along the notable German Fairy Tale Route (Deutsche Märchen Strasse). By afternoon you’ll arrive in Hamelin, the setting for the folk tale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The town boasts lavishly decorated homes that reflect its former wealth as a trading center, due to its favorable location along the river.
On foot, discover the wonders of Hamelin’s historical city center with your guide before check-in at your hotel. Then, join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner in the evening.

Day 5: Hamelin – Frankfurt (B)
After breakfast, continue by coach along the river Weser, following the Fairy Tale Route as you head to the unique city of Hann.Münden (short for Hannoversch Münden). As you pass through this small town, one of Germany’s best-preserved cities, admire the 12th-century city walls and one of the country’s oldest stone bridges.
Your guide will make stops along the road until you reach your final destination of Frankfurt. In the afternoon, take a comprehensive coach tour of Germany’s financial capital and discover all the fabulous sights of the city!
