We were travelling to Berlin for the first time and understanding more about this part of history was high on the list. A more active form of tourism , great tour guide - Kate. Group size manageable . Highly recommended - not arduous physically.
Great value for money and a highly informative and engaging tour. Julian our guide was very knowledgeable and sensitive and made a complex and disturbing period of history accessible and meaningful on a personal level. Julian was very welcoming, interested, interesting and personable; he was always careful about safety and alerted us very effectively to what was ahead. The lunch stop was also very well judged. It was a highlight of a wonderful trip to Berlin. First rate.
Kevin our guide from Philadelphia was really great. He was a wonderful "storyteller" bringing this period of Berlin's history to life. Riding our bikes 6 miles throughout the city on its streets, through parks, neighborhoods, over bridges and learning along the way was truly an enjoyable memorable experience. Lunch at "Rissani" was delicious! What a fantastic way to see part of this huge city!
Fantastic tour. The guide was very informative and knew the area well. Was a great day. The weather was beautiful and the bikes are amazing to ride. No need to be fit, it is a leisurely ride. We stopped for lunch which isn't included in the price, alas very nice and cheap.
This was a fantastic tour, and Kevin did a wonderful job leading us around. My wife and I did not know so much about the Cold War period here in Berlin, but it really came to life to us through the tour, and we recommend the biking tour to anyone who's considering Berlin and who would like to more about the history of "the Wall."
Guide was good fun and presented this trip well. The trip was right on for people who want to know more about the division of Berlin and Germany during the cold war. Riding was easy and as Berlin is quite flat it was also really easy.
We went on this tour in the beginning of August with Blakely and really enjoyed it. Blakely was helpful and very informative! The meeting point was easy to find and we saw lots of Cold War history, more than I expected, it was great! I recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the Cold War, and would recommend any of their other bike tours.
Unfortunately didn't actually end up doing this tour as we couldn't find the place! I think the directions need to be more precise as Alexanderplatz is absolutely huge! If it had something in the directions like near the TV-Tower it would've been much easier to find!! Only happened to stumble upon it by chance as it is very well hidden! Ended up swapping this tour for the All Berlin Bike Tour which my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed!!Our tour guide Lauren was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable about German history as she had a degree in the field!! Take as many photos as possible!!!Brandenburg Gate is amazing! Also I would suggest being at the back of the group during the tour as you get a free piece of the Berlin Wall and a beer after!!Just some friendly advice!! Well worth it!
Loved this tour. Great guide who knew a lot of interesting detail about what we were seeing. I doubt that any other tour would include so much. Highly recommended for all ages especially as the route is pretty flat.
Great guide! Also, perfect option with teenagers, my two sons loved it.
It was great to travel on bikes, and we enjoyed the very interesting tour, good guidance, and great city.
fanatstic fun and very interesting. Tom our guide made it fun for our teenage daughter to. Well done.
This was a very interesting trip and our guide filled us in with many amazing real life stories about attemps to escape over the wall. The cycling was easy as the ground is very flat in Berlin. The choice of lunch stop could have been better - it was a Morroccan takeaway which was good value for money but not something everyone likes! I would rather have had a German cafe! Nevertheless a very worthwhile experience!
