This was a great way to get to see part of the city and rehearse the history! They guide was very knowledgeable and personal. It was a very enjoyable day. The biking was easy and fun. The tour was informative and interesting. I highly recommend this or any of the other tours as a great way to spend the day!
The local Biking company was fantastic. We had a great guide who taught us more about the history of the Nazi's in Berlin then one really wants to know. Enjoyed a fantastic lunch in a local beer garden and was riveted by the history of the city! Do not pass this up!
The tour was great. It was not tiring at all with the bikes and we stopped at a very nice biergarten. Our tour guide, Randal, was very nice and funny too and was very enthusiastic all the time. Highly recommended.
Absolutely brilliant ! Tim was our guide and he was so knowledgeable. He emphasized to our group to engage in conversation and add facts that he might not know which was very few. Excellent lunch. Could not have asked for more from a tour. Ist class all the way. We did have a joke at his expense though when he pronounced EMU ! He knows what I mean.
Tim our guide was brilliant. He got the balance just right and helped us to understand the history of the tour. Bikes was comfortable and easy to handle. The route we followed mainly avoided the traffic and took us through parks and along cycle lanes. Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Berlin.
We did the tour as a family, kids are 14 and 11. Ronan was our guide, very friendly with loads of knowledge and good stories.
We learned a lot and seen a lot of historical buildings and monuments.
Bikes were very fun and comfortable. Lunch in a beer garden!
We recommend this tour to everybody!!
Our Berlin bike tour was fantastic. Ciaran did a great job of keeping the group together and keeping our interest throughout the tour. There were 2 young girls that were in our group and he included them from the start of the tour. Excellent. Highly recommend.
Another fun way to see a fabulous city and hear about a sensitive subject
A great tour with a very enthusiastic and passionate guide. Ceiron from Fat Tire Tours was brilliant and made our tour very enjoyable despite the heavy topic. He was mindful of our group and regularly kept count and in particular, waited for all bikers to cross the roads safely. At times Ceiron through in a few extra stops over and above the dedicated tour. It ended up being six hours and we enjoyed every minute.
This was a great way to see the many sights in Berlin. Our guide, Kate, was fantastic and passionate about sharing her knowledge with the group.
A fabulous way to see and learn about Berlin in more depth. Guide Kate was lively, informative and explained a very complex subject with great sensitivity. Riding a bike is the best way to get around and see things in Berlin. It is a very bike friendly city, and you'll be surprised how quiet the streets are; much of the riding is on wide sidewalks.
Our guide was Kate and she was outstanding. So much so we actually tipped her MORE than the cost of the tour which was such a bargain. She knew her history and delivered the difficult subject matter with sensitivity and compassion.
My husband and our fifteen year old son have just returned from Berlin. and this is what they said:
"The highlight of our trip to Berlin was undoubtedly the 3rd Reich tour on wed 2nd July with fat tire bike tours.
Neil from Manchester was our tour guide and he was brilliant-he really brought history to life with his knowledge of his subject when we stopped at the different sites in Berlin.
Berlin was a pleasure to cycle around-the bike is really king here!
Berlin was a clean, safe and friendly city and I would love to go back there again"
Awesome, wonderful, fantastic... Lots of good things! :) Our guide Ciaran -- ably assisted by Deric, who brought up the back of our pack -- was a delight. He gave us both a lively and entertaining tour while also educating us on the subject matter in a way both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. This tour should be a "must do" for anyone traveling to Berlin, and we'd love to come back and bring our sons to have them experience it, as well. If you are considering this tour, I highly recommend it. We consider it the highlight of our trip to Berlin.
Neil, the tour guide was fantastic. Fat Bike tours permitted us to take the bikes out again after the tour to use until 6.00pm. This was awesome, as we revisited locations to get additional photos.
THe tour was well planned, and as Berlin is flat, there was very little energy required to get the bikes going. Neil was knowledgeable, and pointed out things that tour books will not detail.
excellent tour, and well woth the value. Its just a shame that the tour could not have been longer, as there is so much to see in Berlin that relates to WWII.
We had quite a few people in our tour group but Rob did a great job of keeping track of everyone and ensuring everyone had a postive experience. Rob was very knowledgable about WWII history as he continues to research and add to his reperatoire of facts. He was humorous yet sensitive to the serious nature of the tour. You were AWESOME Rob!!
The Third Reich and Nazi Germany bike tour was great. It was very informative and gave insight to a Berlin that once was.
AMAZING! One of our best tours in Europe! Guide was extremely knowledgeable and had great energy! Sites were well worth seeing and the bikes were very comfortable! If you are interested in Third Reich history or you want to learn then this is the tour for you!
This tour was great. We seem to see all of Berlin on this touf as it was 5 12 hours long. It was very interesting and very informative. I am not in shape at all and found the ride to be not too strenuous - not many hills mostly flat ground.
Great guides with lots of information. Berlin is flat so the ride was very doable for someone who hasn't been on a bike in a while. There was some overlap of information with the Berlin Bike Tour.
This tour was a great experience. We would recommend not doing the Berlin Bike Tour together with the Third Reich and Nazi tour as there was significant duplication. The guide was very knowledgeable and provided great information on all our stops. Bike riding became somewhat dangerous in certain areas and the group needed to be more informed about utilising the road as a group. Lunch stop was great.
