Excellent cruise, informative and enjoyable! Very good facilities on board.Enjoyed food and drink. Dinner very good. Concert was superb, the highlight of my five days in Berlin. Would like to have had time to seethe palace, though.

Booked package in advance of trip. Sightseeing Cruise was very enjoyable, nice boat and the staff were very efficient. Concert was excellent however the day was very hot, there was no airflow in the room and it became so hot and sticky we left before it finished. The dinner was a real letdown. We advised in advance that we had a vegetarian with us. The starters were ok, nothing exceptional. The main course consisted of a breast of chicken, a small bit of veg and a couple of very small potatoes. The vegetarian option was a small vol-au-vent with some of our vegs stuffed into it and a couple of potatoes, absolutely dreadful. We complained but were advised that as the meal was catered there was no other option available. One of our favourite pastimes is eating out (my son is an excellent chef) so it was really disappointing to be handed something like this when it is advertised as an exclusive candlelit dinner. So beware when booking the package, dinner is definitely something to be missed. My rating is for the cruise and concert, I would not rate the dinner at all!!

The cruise was fairky interesting but it is not a 3 hour round trip. Rather it is 90 minutes to Point A and 90 minutes back to the starting point, with the same commentary in reverse. It would be better to take one of the cheaper city tours. The dinner in the evening was adequate if somewhat uninspired, although the setting was superb. The concert was excellent featuring an excellent violinist, a superb young oboist and a highly talented soprano. The choice of music from Vivaldi, Bach and Mozart was highly appropriate. Overall, however, this combination was over expensive and can be done more effectively through individual bookings.
