This was a gift for my dad, and he loved it! There were only 2 people on the tour that day (both retired men) and the guide was fabulous!
Very informative, interesting and entertaining. The guide really brought events to life and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour, definitely recommend it. Our guide was Nigel Dunkley, ask for him!
Our Guide Michael was absolutely amazing! He was extremely informative and helped make everyone feel apart of the group. He went around before the tour and personally introduced himself to us all which made us all feel more connected. Plans a great break for the 4 hour tour at a fantastic coffee place which is a nice plus. Thanks for a great tour Michael! :)
Truly excellent walk. One of the best things I did during recent five week travels through Europe. Our guide so informative, friendly, with lots of details fascinating knowledge.
We loved the Cold War tour. Guide was intelligent and knowledgeable.. He helped us understand the times, not just the artifact in front of us. I highly recommend this tour.
This tour was fabulous! Very educational and informative. We learned so much about the cold war, the Berlin Wall and the memorials all over Berlin today to commemorate it. Our guide Barry was just great! I would do this tour again just to have Barry as my guide. He is a political and historical sociologist by training and gives in-depth insights that an ordinary tour guide would not provide.
Our guide was terrific and even thought it was very cold, he kept us interested and entertained for the entire walk
Excellent guide, Barnaby, who was very knowledgeable and amusing. Really interesting tour, we learnt such a lot.
This tour was excellent. Barnaby was our tour guide and he was great. His knowledge and great interest in the topic were great and made the tour very enjoyable. We learned so much on the tour. Very eye opening. Would highly recommend this tour whether or not you have any knowledge on the topic. Barnaby explains everything so even if you happen to know nothing of the cold war he gives an excellent background and explanation.
Barnaby was an amazing tour guide. Not only was the Cold War tour fascinating, it was extremely educational as well. The best part of our entire european vacation hands down! His uncanny ability to bring history to life is a true talent. We wish we had time to go on all the tours offered. Thank you Barnaby for making our (two teenage sons and one overwrought mom) Berlin day trip a huge success!
This tour, led by Jerrod, was extremely informative. Jerrod was personable, knowledgeable, and adapted well to our group's needs, which included a couple with language limitations. Thank you!
Guide was great. Saw things we would never have seen without this tour. Checkpoint Charlie is not part of it which is ok as we had already visited there and looked into the museum which took us a couple of hours. Overall the guide had passion and knowledge and was Irish so also had a great sense of humour.
Worth doing. Our guide was excellent, but unfortunately her name alludes me, however I do remember she was Swedish. . She was self taught, very passionate about the subject and presented the information in a way which you could understand even if you didnt know a lot about it. She made it all very interesting and also had a voice that carried which made the experience even more positive.
Our Cold War tour was amazing. We walked alot but also used the bus and the subway which were fun and part of the experience. Nikolai, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. We learned so much! I highly recommend this particular tour for insight into Berlin in the 60's-80's.
Superb tour – steered clear of clichés and focused on the human stories either side of the wall. Jared was an excellent guide who connected well with quite a diverse group.
