Guide was great. Saw things we would never have seen without this tour. Checkpoint Charlie is not part of it which is ok as we had already visited there and looked into the museum which took us a couple of hours. Overall the guide had passion and knowledge and was Irish so also had a great sense of humour.

Worth doing. Our guide was excellent, but unfortunately her name alludes me, however I do remember she was Swedish. . She was self taught, very passionate about the subject and presented the information in a way which you could understand even if you didnt know a lot about it. She made it all very interesting and also had a voice that carried which made the experience even more positive.

Our Cold War tour was amazing. We walked alot but also used the bus and the subway which were fun and part of the experience. Nikolai, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. We learned so much! I highly recommend this particular tour for insight into Berlin in the 60's-80's.

Our guide Michael was excellent. His knowledge was deep and expansive. His willingness to factor in the interests of those in our tour group was also greatly appreciated. Horrible weather but highly recommended tour. Thank you Michael. We loved the tour!

Jared was an excellent tour leader. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The tour even went on longer than advertised but loved it all. Have a new understand and interest in the Cold Ware after this experience. Just a note: this tour does NOT go to Checkpoint Charlie which we were very interested in.

This tour was the highlight of our trip. It's a must-do when visiting Berlin. Maria was our guide and she was fantastic! She had some fabulous stories and did a great job keeping us engaged and interested on a cold snowy day.

Absolutly 1st class.I've already passed on my experience to my friends and colleagues with the recommendation that if nothing else, they should take on at least two or more tours while in Berlin. Personally i enjoyed every minute of it. the tour guides were enthusiastic and very knowledgable..

I took two teenagers on this tour of cold war Berlin (in 31 degree heat!), which I thought might lead to a few moans from them. On the contrary, our guide, Barnaby, was so knowledgeable, entertaining and enthusiastic about all sides of Berlin that both my teenagers voted this one of their top highlights of the visit. We all came away, feeling that we understood the rise and fall of East Germany much better than before the tour. Barnaby looked after us well too, keeping to shady areas where possible and making sure everyone was ok at all times. A fund of anecdotes really brought the history and politics to life. The old Stasi building was very atmospheric, as was the deserted building next to the old US embassy and the Tranenpalast.

Just be aware that the tour DOES NOT include Check Point Charlie but the train system is so easy to get around, overall a good tour, your on and off trains but does not impede on the experience, guide was a wealth of knowledge.
