This was an amazing introduction to Berlin. Darren, the guide , was brilliant. For the rest of our weekend his knowledge and insights stayed with us and helped us make sense of so many of the sights we visited afterwards. I would wholeheartedly recommend that anyone visiting the city does one of these tours as their first induction! Amazingly good value for money.
Beth was a wonderful guide. She took us around the city at a good pace and taught us so many things. Excellent tour, excellent guide. Highly recommended.
Hello. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Darren. He was extremely knowledgeable on anything to do with Germany it seemed and offered the information in an interesting and informative way. We enjoyed it even though we were walking round in the rain that day. He certainly inspired me to want to find out more.
Very good tour - saw all of the key tourist sites in under four hours. Very interesting and informative. It was a large group - I felt bad for the tour guide having to keep track of so many people! If you are after something more personal, I would recommend a private tour.
Very knowledgeable guide Beth -with great sense of humour- who made every stop fascinating and brought the history of Berlin to life.
The tour was everything I could ask for and more! The tour guide, Beth, was amazing in not just having the knowledge that was needed, but also asked thought provoking questions to make the tour thay much more interesting. A+ all the way!
Beth was an amazing tour guide. If you are able to request her, do so! She is truly a student of history and made each stop on the tour informative as well as interactive. In particular, Beth made a point of asking the crowd what emotions or thoughts were provoked at certain stops. I absolutely loved what I learned and what I heard my fellow tour colleagues say during our time on the tour. Be prepared to walk approximately 8-10 kilometers over the four hours, at a moderate pace. I suggest you bring a bottle of water or beverage with you as well as a light snack, since the coffee/food break is approximately 2.5 hours into the tour. There are plenty of fantastic photo opportunities along the way.
This was a brilliant walk - our tour guide, Alex was extremely knowledgeable and answered all questions. He didn't rush us around the walk, so we had a chance to drink in the atmosphere and history of the city sights. Highly recommended!
Excellent tour. It gave us a perfect introduction to the main sites in Berlin. The tour guide Rick was great. We had a second tour in mind and when we found out he was the guide had no hesitation in booking. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. My 14 and 11 year old boys thought he was excellent and as a consequence were fully engaged throughout both tours - thank you.
This tour is an great way of getting an overview of the city and its history. Our tour guide, Jonathan, was excellent, providing a thoroughly interesting commentary and regularly checking to see if there were any questions along the way. He also made good use of supporting documents to illustrate a point, or provide context. I have done a number of walking tours over the years and this one rates up there for quality and value for money.
Great way to do Berlin to see all the important landmarks. Kevin our guide was great, really knew his stuff, looks like there is loads of walking but it is not as bad as it could be, Would definitely recommend this, with comfy shoes!!
Perfect tour guide - Jonathan. Fascinating City Historically. Very informative.
Amazing tour. Katherine was fantastic.Very eloquent and informative
Tour guide, Merrin?, Marin? was great - friendly, animated and knowledgeable.
Comprehensive tour with American history graduate Jess. Great history knowledge and lots of local knowledge too. 4 hour walking tour around Berlin was a great education. Thank you.
Fascinating and very informative tour of Berlin moving from East to West. We did the tour on our 1st day of a 3 days stay and it was perfect for finding our bearings and learning the amazing history of the city. Our tour guide was Meren, an Australian lady, who taught and explained the history in a sensitive but realistic manner. She brought the city to life, her love for the city shone throught and walking for 4 hours simply flew past. Would highly recommend the tour.
Amazingly insightful tour ...Jess was our tour guide who walked us thru 1000 years of German history in 4 hours...the narrative was as imaginative as it was accurate particularly about the death strip and Berlin Wall... His interpretation of the memorial struck a chord... Definitely worth the money!
This 4 hour walking tour was simply incredible! Our amazing tour guide, Ken was funny, knowledgeable and personable and shared his vast information about Berlin and its' history with our group. The pace was perfect. Many tours offer the same itinerary. What I really liked was Ken's eagerness for everyone to catch everything he was saying, as he would tell everyone to bring it in. By doing this our group of strangers became a bit more cohesive, looking out for one another as we crossed streets, etc. Get ready, as this tour really does cover a tremendous amount of area, but you will have deep insight into Berlin's tumultuous history when it is over. Thanks again to Ken for a fantastic tour!
I was part of a group of 6 from Dublin who were visiting Berlin for a few days 1 - 3 March 2016 to see the sights and to attend the Hertha Berlin versus Eintrecht Frankfurt football match in the Olympic Stadium on Wednesday night 2nd March. We had pre-booked the half-day walking tour of Berlin. We met our guide, Rachel, originally from California and her sunny disposition soon dispersed the rain as we set off on our 4 hour journey. Her historical overview at the beginning of the walk was very informative and interesting and as the tour progressed it became clear that Rachel was a mine of useful information about Berlin and its many attractions. Our group gave Rachel a 10 rating and we would recommend this tour to all visitors to Berlin, especially if you wish to see the main attractions over a short period of time. it was brilliant...the guide was knowledgeable and articulate...but also engaged all the group in the history of this fantastic city, highly recommend this tour.
A really good tour, our guide, Beth, was extremely knowledgeable. we visited so many interesting sights and places. Would thoroughly recommend this tour.
Excellent informative tour - guide Ken was very knowledgeable but funny and entertaining too. I did need a break before the 3 hour mark though. Two hours is enough to walk and listen before a stop I think.
