Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Dresden Day Trip from Berlin. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
The tour guide that we had was 'Alex, she was very knowledgeable of the destination of Dresden. In the drive there we were informed of its history from medevil times to present day. This carried on throughout the walking tour as well. She passed the information in such a way that it was entertaining, therefore the group didn't lose interest in the tour. Alex had the fascination of Salad Dodging with famous cake from Dresden, and the words, 'Oakey Smokey, which was very entertaining. There was time at the end of the tour to have a little wonder around Dresden as well. I throughly enjoyed myself and do highly recommend the tour. I paid 35.73p on Viator for it and believe it is good value for money.
A fantastic tour !!!, are guide Ronen was brilliant , one off the best tours I have done
The two hour walking your was very interesting and Ronen pointed out all the major sites while telling us all about the history of this beautiful city and how it was rebuilt .
a most do tour if your in Berlin
Loved the experience. Awesome to see how Dresden has reinvented itself after the bombing.
Excellent Tour Guide.Enjoyed the day but maybe it would have been helpful if we were given a map of dresden for our free time.
Excellent tour and guide. Ya did wonderful job. Highly recommend. A bit like Disney as everything rebuilt since reunification. Still worthwhile. Green Vault alone highly memorable,
I enjoyed the tour very much. The guidance was very informative and professional.
Lior is our English speaking tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He had prepared lots of pictures to demonstrate to us how Dresden was like immediately after the war, and we were able to have a better understanding about how much effort the Germans have put into rebuilding the beautiful city. I'd definitely recommend this tour to my friends!
Dresden is a beautiful and interesting city and our tour guide made it even more so. I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get a taste of what Dresden has to offer.
The tour guide was a doll. The countryside was beautiful and the cake...yum. This was a highlight of my trip
Loved, loved Dresden! Signed up just to have a look at some of the original Meissen china from Dresden but Dresden is way beyond the most beautiful china - it's a jewel! The tour was an unforgettable experience - the grandeur was breathtaking! The Zwinger Palace and the Royal Palace were beautiful! The Green Vault a must see - even though you have pay extra for it!
Our day trip to Dresden was memorable - made all the more so by Alex, our knowledgable and articulate guide. It was especially moving to see the Frauenkirche rebuilt and the amazing porcelain collection at the Zwinger Museum. We wish Alex all the best in her operatic pursuits.
I truly enjoyed our guide Alex, the gal from Perth. She was knowledgeable and witty, which made the tour both informative and fun.
Superb Guide. Well planned both as regards sites of interest guided tour as well as free time for personal exploration.
My husband and I did the day trip to Dresden in July 2014. We had a lovely Australian girl who is studying in Berlin as our tour guide. Alex was knowledgeable, organised and very helpful. The tour gave us a good look at Dresden old city and we really enjoyed it.

I love that tour but not the guide. Dresden is beautiful, a must-see. I would have spent more time there actually.
Our guide was absolutely fantastic and so informative and very very helpful. She was brilliant.
4 days in berlin. Very interesting but a big city. Day trip to Dresden was just what the doctor ordered.
Breathtaking. a must see. Good guide. Very comfortable bus.
For this tour we had Alex. She made this tour a great experience. She was very knowledgeable, and took the time to answer any questions that people might have. After the tour she even showed us where to find good restaurants and other things to do. Dresden itself was a beautiful city. The day in Dresden began with an hour long tour where we were showed the main points and a few pictures of what the city looked like before the war. It was very insightful! My only gripe is that we spent a lot of time standing in one spot. It could have benefited from telling us more about the city inside of the bus, and then showing us the places after. I think it would have allowed us to see even more. We were given 3 hours of free time, which was enough time for me to feel as if I had seen everything. I highly recommend this tour!
