Tour was excellent, with well informed guide. Bus was cool and comfortable. i have always had good luck booking tours with Viator.
The tour guide was particularly outstanding in his assessment and presentation of the affect of Prussian military history and policies on post-War Germany.
As always with Viator, excellent and everything we expected.
It was wonderful tour. The tour guide spoke German and English and was very informative.
The guide was definitely the best part of this tour. Without such a knowledgeable guide we would have missed out on the majority of the rich history of these sites. If Viator could only have canceled the rainstorm this tour would have been perfect.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, completely fluent in both English and German, and was very personable. The Potsdam tour was a big step above the usual guided tour.
What a great tour - the guide was well informed and knew the area. Well worth the money for the tour. Be sure to take this tour if you have the chance.
The only down side is we felt we got no information on what to do once we reached the site. It is a large place with lots of possible buildings to visit but we didn't know if we would have time to do them, etc. I guide book with pictures of the places and how long it typically takes to see them, and the cost (not included in this tour) would have helped us make more out of the visit.
Comfortable bus ride and good tour narration. Beautiful place. We did not go inside but there was plenty to see. It may not have been enough time to go inside. We had a great time. Thank you. The only regret that we did not have time to see the Russian village (we only drove by).
It was a nice experience. Potsdam is very nice. The coach tour was interesting and the explanation in English during the coach tour was excellent. But I am sorry to say that as soon as we arrived in Sans Souci Park the group had no guide to take us around the most important parts of this park. Sorry to say that the driver did not even know how to speak in English and all he did was showing us a paper with the time we had to return to the coach to return to Berlin.
The ride to Potsdam is on a double decker bus. This is an audio tour where everyone is given earbuds to listen to the commentary (multiple languages available). There is no tour guide just the driver. There were long spells of silence in the audio which was the only drawback. Would have liked more information of the sights on the ride to Potsdam. We sat in the upper deck and it was HOT. The driver had retracted the roof so the sun was really hot the entire way to Potsdam. Felt like 29 degrees C (84 F). If it is not too hot, the upper deck would be great otherwise bring a hat and sunglasses in the summer. On the return ride to Berlin, we sat on the lower deck where it was air conditioned. We were given ample time to explore the majestic grounds of the Sanssoucci Palace in Potsdam. The sculptures, fountains, and vine covered trellises are breathtaking. Go to the windmill across the street and buy a loaf of the Windmill Bread (Windmuhlenbrot) to take back to your hotel. Slice the bread and it is delicious with butter. Spread on some strawberry (erdbeere) or raspberry (himbeere) jam and you have a satisfying breakfast. The city is so nice that it is worth spending more time there.
What a beautiful city and sansoucci gardens and palace wer sensational.
There is some confusion in how this tour is conducted. The bus took of from Berlin to Potsdam. There is not a guide tour. There is only a recording that gives brief details on specific places or buildings that we were driving on. Once you get to Postdam there are three stop to choose from to get off. The best one is the one at Neuse Palais. Beautifull garden grounds! There are many six palaces on the same grounds. The Chinese Tea house is beautifully! Something so see! It was worth the price if you only want to see the palace grounds. There is not enough time to see more.
