Our tour guide was excellent! He is perusing a masters degree that deals with American Studies, and clearly has a passion for teaching. His platform skills were outstanding and he brought the tour to life by providing perspective on the 'whys' behind the events that took place and related the camp to the world activities at the time. I would highly recommend this tour. If we had not had a tour, we would not have been able understand the complexity of the camp. In addition, getting there on your own is not a straight shot. It involves 2 trains and a bus, so having a tour guide to get you through the process is essential!

The tour was simply amazing! The tour guide was outstanding. He explained absolutely everything and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. This was the best experience I've ever had on a tour. If you are a student, purchase this tour from one of the guides as they have cheaper rates.

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable on the history of the camp, and also the Third Reich in general. This allowed him to answer the numerous questions without having to make reference to any literature. This was an eerie experience, thought-provoking, and a vivid reminder, if needed, that nothing like this should ever happen again in a civilized countries. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Berlin, the only downside is that six hours is too short, as there is so much to see and absorb.

I have always had an interest in WW2 and even though the memorial had been used by the Russians as a stalag it was extremely moving. The guide we had for the day was fantastic. A word of advice, take some pack up, a drink and wear good walking shoes.

The initial stage of the tour was somewhat disorganized, causing us to miss the intended train. However, the visit to the Concentration Camp was extremely well presented. This is the third camp which I have visited, and our guide was able to present both the horrors of the period while giving a very informative and thought provoking background to the entire Nazi agenda and reaction of the Allies. A visit to a Concentration Camp is essential to understanding modern Germany. With guides like ours the experience is exponentially greater.

Excellent tour and tour guide. I think every visitor to Berlin should take this tour to get a better understanding of the Holocaust. Everything I had read and every picture I had seen could not prepare me for the reality of this place and the horrific things that took place there.

Vivid yet stark reminder of the underside of humanity done by both the German Nazi's during WWII and the Red Russians after WWII. Good informative guide and nice group of co-tourists to spend 4-5 hours with. Great value for the money as far as guided tours go.

While the core product of this tour is rather depressing and sad, a tour around a concentration camp is a must for those who want to witness the brutality of the Nazi regime. Done with thoughtfulness and sensitivity. The tour guide was fantastic, he could have easily have made it a very awkward and uncomfortable visit but some how didn't.

Well organised trip. Warm welcome given by guides at meeting point. Clear itinerary of day given so knew what to expect. Felt looked after! Very important to feel that. At Sachsenhausen clear, sufficient amounts of information given but not too much! The guide was open to questions and further inquiries by participants. Friendly, helpful guide. Made trip interesting throughout. One suggested improvement. Please make it clear in the instructions on the voucher exactly which type of train ticket is required..zone AB...would save valuable time making inquiries at station. Also details about the destination station for Sachsenhausen. Great trip!

I enjoyed the tour, however there was a bit of a train fiasco in trying to meet up with the other group. It worked out in the end.
