What an excellent tour. I had studied a lot about Berlin, its Cold War history and the Soviet era, but this tour did a good job of getting into a lot of detail I was unaware of. Highly recommend this if you're at all interested in German history or the history of Berlin.

The Cold War is a mystery to me, as is most of modern history. I was a little worried that the Berlin Underground tour would be more for the boffins and military enthusiasts than someone like myself. However, the guide has a wonderfully theatrical delivery and warm manner, she makes all the dates and figures come alive with a sense of the personal experience and effects on everyday life for the people of Berlin.
