This was a great trip, the driver was awesome with just the right amount of talking.
Driver was informative and friendly. Beautiful scenic ride to the volcano. Falls aren't as impressive as we expected. They are in town not in the mountains.
This tour was much better than expected. Our tour guide was perfect perhaps because he grew up and still lives there. That aside, his personality made us feel comfortable and informed. Everything was exactly as advertised. Would use your company again.
We enjoyed this trip due to the lovely lady tour guide who made it a pleasurable and enjoyable trip.
excellent it was just unfortunate that the weather that day was cold and very wet yet we managed to enjoy the amazing sight at the edge of the crater
Sun was an excellent tour guide and the places we visited were beautiful. He was very knowledgable about Hilo and all of the sites we visited. He was also very patient with our large group. The tour cost us about $20 less than what they were charging on the ship. I will call Viator again the next time we visit Hilo. Thanks.
The tour was everything I expected and more. The tour guide was kind and very knowledgable about the island. He even gave us a bonus shopping trip at the end of the tour. Will definitely recommend to anyone for shore excursion. This trip was half of the cruise ship price. Well worth the money!
We were very pleased with the trip. The personnel handling the check in where great in making you feel welcome and the bus driver knowledge of the tour and surrounding areas kept you informed. He didn't rush you when visiting the sites and the duration of the trip was as advertised. It was worth the savings versus what NCL price.
We really enjoyed both the volcano and waterfall tour. We were able to walk through a volcano tube and saw first hand, the stark contrast between the dry volcano area and the lush rainforest.
We did also have an unexpected yet heartwarming display of the aloha spirit.
A young couple on the bus had run out of milk for their infant child and the baby was hungry and getting fussy. Harvey, our tour guide knew where there was a store kind of off the main road and pulled off so the couple could make a milk stop. Apparently there was a problem. All I could hear was the couple telling Harvey that they would just get a cab back to the destination. It seemed the couple did not want to be a bother for the rest of the tour, though I don't think anyone had thought that. Harvey then got off the bus and went in and helped with whatever was the problem. The couple was able to get milk for the baby and continue with us on the tour. I thought this was way above and beyond the call of duty. I was certainly impressed with our guide. He saved the day for the baby, mom and dad. Oh yeah! Harvey also was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He is a real gem and truly one with the aloha spirit.
Great to get up close and personal with the volcano's and lava flows well worth the trip, stopping at the Nut Farm and the Orchad Plantaion were welcome stops, Dids get to see the rainbow in the falls but still worthwhile, A great bus trip with a very good driver and commontary.
