Really enjoyed this tour, our tour guide Jim was very informative and Prinnie was funny and very helpful.
Our favourite activity of the trip! We enjoyed our day immensely due to the informed guide and wonderful scenery. Well worth doing if you want to see the National Park from a different viewpoint.
We had a fantastic time. My family and I enjoyed the conversation, the company, and the view of all we biked through and past. The tour driver and guide were top notched and first class all the way. We would do this again when visiting the big island next time.
This tour was fantastic!! Our lead was a geologist named Steve and our Driver George - were fantastic! Bikes in great condition and were fitted for our height! The activity level as stated was very accurate. The entire tour was great, we really enjoyed it and lunch was fresh and good! THANKS!
Had a fun time riding the bikes during the tour (it beats riding on a bus or hiking). The guide was very knowledgeable about the Volcano tour. I would suggest this tour to my friends. Thanks.
We had a great time and think everyone should do something like this. I had a little trouble on one of the uphill areas, not being a spring chicken at 56, but our guide was supportive and encouraging and I finished it without being in the van....Wonderful...
The tour was a great way to see the highlights on the chain of craters road. Our tour guide and driver were very knowledgeable and provided context to both the volcanology and local understanding. No one who can ride a bike should be frightened of the 14 mile bicycle trip. With 1 hill up that was tough but several hills down, the trip was very much a good adventure.
This was a great fun day! The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting, and made the whole day entertaining!
I was tempted not to do this tour because I don't cycle but it was completely fine - not tough terrain, and 95% on paved roads, so totally worth doing.
I would recommend this to all, as a great way to explore Kilaeua!
We had a great time! The bike ride was tough at times but not overly strenuous. The length of the ride was just right and covered various terrain and surroundings with spectacular sights!
Excellent tour of volcano national park. Great way to see parts of it with a small group and excellent guide and support staff. Good equipment all around. Was rained on most of the time but it did not deter us.
Steve, our tour guide has a degree in geology so he has a lot of interesting facts for our group and made it really fun. He had a great personality too. I would recommend this tour. If you don't want to or can't ride a bike - the van is cool and clean with plenty of windows.
We really enjoyed the tour because we were able to view the volcano from all sort of great vantage points. We recommend a tour with a geologist and a native to the island. We had plenty of great snacks and drinks along the way, but you should be able to know how to switch gears on a bike to make it easier on yourself. The tour was great, we were a little sad we didn't see any lava but that is because the lava flow has moved to another side side of the volcano. Speak to staff about a special tour that offers views specifically of the volcano. Overall the staff was very up on their knowledge of geology and the history of the flows.
The tour was good, but the intermittent rain made it less than enjoyable at times. Our guide was pleasant but somewhat casual and not a great speaker. I was more interested in the information another guide was presenting to his group. My bike was slow for some reason and I had to pedal most of the time - even on some downhill sections in order to keep up with the group.
